NICOLE Kidman has made a public stand against terrorism.
The actress, joined by 84 other high-profile Hollywood stars, directors, studio bosses and media moguls, has taken out a powerfully-worded full page advertisement in today's Los Angeles Times newspaper.
It specifically targets "terrorist organisations" such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine.
"We the undersigned are pained and devastated by the civilian casualties in Israel and Lebanon caused by terrorist actions initiated by terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah and Hamas," the ad reads.
"If we do not succeed in stopping terrorism around the world, chaos will rule and innocent people will continue to die.
"We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all costs."
A who's who of Hollywood heavyweights joined Kidman on the ad.
The actors listed included: Michael Douglas, Dennis Hopper, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Danny De Vito, Don Johnson, James Woods, Kelly Preston, Patricia Heaton and William Hurt.
Directors Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Michael Mann, Dick Donner and Sam Raimi also signed their names.
Other Hollywood powerplayers supporting the ad included Sumner Redstone, the chairman and majority owner of Paramount Pictures, and billionaire mogul, Haim Saban.

I knew there was something there (about all of these folks) to appreciate. They just needed an excuse to express it.
It's not supporting the United States or George W. Bush. It's supporting Israel.
I'll take what I can get.

Did Nicole really dump Scientology? Good for her. Must have wanted to raise her children Catholic instead of in some cult. She woke up.

Looks like the Hollywood stars can't win. If they are against the war, they are commie leftist wackos and if they support the war and our troops, the Joos made them do it. Did you ask that when James Woods castigated Bill Clinton for being a perjuring scumbag? Did you ask that when Heaton spoke out on behalf of the pro-life cause? Did you ask that every time Willis went out to entertain the troops?
Note the Aussie paper makes them sound like they are freedom fighters in uniform on the front lines:
BS. The article says they ran an ad, and "targets" is a political, marketing and medical term as well as a military one. You are allowing something to color your perception of the text.

Hezbollah and Hamas must be terrified. Well no surprise the Freeper Fringers and the Whine All the Time Choir, as usual, find something to whine about. New thread, same old whining.

Nichole Kidman recently married Australian country music artist Keith Urban. I'm guessing he's pretty conservative, like many country music performers. She may be enjoying life with a real man for a change.

Yeah. Crime Story was great. What was their theme tune again. It was from a popular tune of the early 60s. It's on the tip of my mind.

don't believe a word these people say outside of how it affects their own well being,p> And in other news, the Freeper Fringers find yet another excuse to throw a temper tantrum and whine hysterically.

I think they are actually married, and have been for around 10 years. I just checked Wikipedia. Preston has been married to John Travolta since 1991.

Nice to see but how is this gonna help anything? After listening to people around here piss and moan for the last month about "Israel is losing the PR war", I find it incredibly ironic the same people are not flailing around trying to find a excuse to bitch about this.

Patricia Heaton was raised Protestant and converted to Catholicism. She pretty much says what she feels and thinks and makes no secret she is a Republican. James Woods is independent and leans right...and Bruce Willis has been a republican for years...read all the old George H. W. Bush; Bruce has been friends with the Bushes for a long time.

There is something wrong with this. I really think this is somehow going to work into a press release from The DNC or Howard Dean. Don't know how yet, but give me some time. Yes, but keep in mind that when the Brits, Pakistan and some of our guys saved about 3,000 air travelers the other day, that turned into press releases from Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean. When that plane landed at Logan today with the crazy lady on it, Ed Markey held a press conference holding it up as proof that Bush doesn't care about terrorism.
Don't judge these people by the DNC. The DNC is full of scum who will do and say anything for a little more power.

I'd bet money that his devotion to this cult is the primary irreconcilable difference which caused their divorce.

As many of you know, Patricia Heaton is a solid conservative, and a conservative Catholic. I can testify to this from personal experience.
