Debka has an interesting article that states that Iran is pissed that Hezballoh wasted/lost so many rockets that were supposed to be kept as a deterrent to persuade Israel not to bomb Iran's nuclear capabilities. The article also states that Nasrallah was instructed by Iran to evade the cease fire and not give up weapons. More interesting tidbits in the article.

Lebanon is a wholly owned subsidiary of Iran, with Syria running logistics and Hezbollah handling security.

It's funny...even the international law apologist explanation of the resolution at http://jurist.law.pitt.edu/forumy/2006/08/un-mideast-ceasefire-resolution.php would likely be against this act as an "attack"...though, of course, both sides intended to weasel--with Israel still claiming the right to "defensive" operations and not withdrawing immediately.

I think the resolutiuon was a smart move knowing the hezzies and Lebanon would not abide by it when Israel would. Breaking the ceasefire and not enforcing the resolution gives Israel a green light to wipe the hezzies out for good.

All well and good, except that the worldwide media will always find a way to blame Israel and the USA. We are fighting gravity now, and only a major kick-ass event will shock the sheeple into awareness. My vote is for Iran to be on the receiving end.
