Pakistan: Suspected London Plane Terrorists Have Al Qaeda Connection
LONDON — Police arrested 40 people in cities throughout Italy in raids on Muslim gathering places in a security crackdown after Britain thwarted an alleged terror plot, the Interior Ministry said Friday, as Pakistani intelligence agents claimed there was an connection with ties to to the group of suspected terrorists arrested Thursday.
The arrests in Italy were made Rome, Milan, Venice, Florence, Naples and other cities on Thursday and Friday "as part of an extraordinary operation that followed the British anti-terrorist operation," the ministry said in a statement.
The Vatican is there, the head of the historic Christian church. The Islamists are after symbols and this is their most hated. When I visited Italy last year, the Vatican was the most secure--by far--of any place I went.

LONDON — ANSA news agency reported that Italian police arrested 40 people in security operation after British aircraft terror plot thwarted as Pakistani intelligence agents claimed there was an Al Qaeda connection with ties to Afghanistan to the group of suspected terrorists arrested Thursday.
In a statement, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said the arrests underscored "the very important role that has been played by Pakistan in breaking this international terrorist network." It said there were "indications of Afghanistan-based Al Qaeda connection" in the case, but did not elaborate.
British officials released a list of 19 of the suspects while travelers in Britain's airports faced increased security and cancelled flights.
Five Pakistanis have been arrested in Pakistan as suspected "facilitators" of the plot, a government official said, in addition to two Britons arrested there about a week ago.
The plot was foiled when an undercover British agent infiltrated the UK-based group, and passed information to authorities, FOX News confirmed. The spy was one of the main reasons for unmasking the plot.
I've been snooping around there for a couple of years now (always managed to get booted off real quick if I actually posted something), but the lunacy to which they have descended lately is mind boggling. With few exceptions (who seem to be conspicuously in their silence these days) the DU'rs seem to be severely limited in their capacity for reason and logic. One can only hope that they continue to remain huddled in their parent's basements and waste their seed in fruitless orgasms over the upcoming demise of the BFEE, before ever having a chance to reproduce.
That's a lot. One wonders if Mr. Ahneedajihad's plans for 22 August have been somewhat affected....
Note, btw, that the Turks recaptured Jerusalem from the Crusaders on 23 August, 1244.... One also, therefore, wonders if these planned bombings were supposed to be a diversion from something planned for 23 August.

This was an Al Qaeda operation that apparently became operational after a terror summit in Djbouti in late 2003 and delayed several times.

Remember they were saying "thousands of deaths" even as they only mentioned about 10 planes as targets the other day. I also think it's much bigger based on their clues in the press conferences.

Just because 40 were arrested doesn't mean all 40 were involved. We have to wait for the authorities to sort them out. It could be all 40 or it could only be a dozen.

What is going on here, is a very deadly distance-and-direction urination contest between the Shi'ite Hezbollah Islamic fascists, and the Sunni Wahhabist al-Qaeda Islamic fascists.
The bid was put out there by Hezbollah, with the call to begin the push of the "Zionist" Israei Jews into the sea. This was stealing the thunder from the al-Qaeda faction, who had to come up with something even more spectacular, in this case a multiple and near-simultaneous set of air disasters involving plane bombings, preferably somewhere either over the oceans or on an an approach to a landing.
That these plots get found out before they are executed is considered immaterial to the objectives of the Islamic fascists. The intent is to keep the major Western nations, and Israel, off balance and if possible, paralyzed.
