Black Gangs Terrorize D.C.
Media Monitor ^ | 8/11/2006 | Cliff KIncaid

Posted on 08/11/2006 7:12:35 AM PDT by Mike Bates

Because the Washington Post wants to obscure the basic reality of the situation, we believe that visitors to the nation's capital should be warned that there is a crime emergency in effect, sparked by a sharp increase in homicides, and they are potential victims.

The fact is that white tourists are being injured and killed by roving black male gangs, who are even showing up in exclusive areas such as Georgetown where some rich reporters live behind iron gates. The Post, however, has a policy of deliberately keeping the public in the dark about the real nature of the problem.

In D.C., it appears, you're not supposed to talk about the racial aspect of the problem. Black police chief Charles H. Ramsey temporarily reassigned a white police commander who warned residents to be aware of suspicious black people in a section of the city where a white man, a British citizen by the name of Alan Sennit, was murdered by having his throat slit by a group of black male thugs. Ramsey considered his comments racially offensive, even though they were true.

The commander, Andy Solberg, had said, "This is not a racial thing to say that black people are unusual in Georgetown." Georgetown is the fancy and affluent area of the city that was described in a July 16 Post headline as "a virtually all-white enclave." While Solberg was reassigned for drawing attention to the potential threat posed by groups of black males wandering through white areas of the city and killing people, Courtland Milloy of the Post in a July 12 column quoted Ramsey himself as saying that "Young black males, in groups of five to six, ages 13 to 15, are displaying handguns and beating their victims."

I am sorry, but they are using the term asian to keep from using the word muslim. I know they use aisan in the context you have outlined however, in this case they are being PC, it is obvious, the M word hasn't been used yet except for that one courageous official, John Reid, who has stood up in England the last few days, before the arrest were made and after, to try to open Englands eyes to the muslim terrorist threat.

Thank God that the law enforcement in England still operates on a non PC level when it comes to terrorist. Unfortunately they have lost the courage to state what we all know: These are muslim terrorists, not asian males.

Lately though, it is definitely going back on the rise again for some reason, which is a concern.

Yes, the dirty little secret is that there has been a mini-crime wave that has hit the city this year. Lotta tourist muggings.

Marion Berry said " The Crime rate in DC is really very low is you don't count all the Murders."

What a sick Dump of a City. a perfect democrat town.

AND, it's Bush's fault, too!

P.S. Did you know Kerry served in Viet Nam?

"I don't guess The District of Columbia has a National Guard? .."

As a matter of fact, if I recall correctly, the DC Army National Guard is comprised of at least one battalion of Military Police. They help provide parade route security during Inaugurations.

So, a modest suggestion for law enforcement reform: 'citizen's arrest'training, bounties, financial restitution/penalty from criminals + jailtime, and EXILE for 2nd violent offenses (Liberia seems an appropriate destination we could contract for, somewhat as we negotiate hundreds of military bases throughout the world).

Love this passage from the article:

Over at the Post, whose chairman Donald Graham is a former D.C. police officer, ombudsman Deborah Howell defended the paper's policy of not reporting the racial characteristics of alleged criminals. While the Post did publish a photo of the alleged killers in the Sennit murder, she wrote, "The curiosity of readers about race is understandable, but, practically, what help is it to know that a suspect was black or mixed-race or a whiter shade of pale if there aren't enough details to be able to identify a suspect and call the police? Or if it's not pertinent to the crime. Will knowing the color of a person's skin make you feel any safer?"

Well, duh.

You know, where I'm from you need a licence to have a pet but anyone one can have a child.

Can we say, castration?

Screw the street gangs. We'd better wake up to the havoc created by that one shadowy gang of 535, in D.C. Though relatively small in number, they can do more damage to the entire country than every street gang in town can do Georgetown or any other part of that one city.

They are the really scary ones, and we never know what they'll come up with next.

What do we expect when a DC Mayor smoked Crack?

And worse, reelected. "The bitch set me up" was taken for Gospel.

Seems the D.C. police had a deal with the gangbangers. Stay out of the tourist area and we'll leave you to your activities elsewhere.

Now that the Mall and other tourist havens have crimes, the D.C. police have decided something must be done.

Of course, Sharpton and Jackson are too busy attacking jooos to notice that blacks are killing each other off in record numbers all across America.

I'm concerned that Washington, DC has reached the breaking point and civil war between rival gangs and the police is imminent. This situation is a quagmire and to save the lives of good police officers, our only option is to pull all police out of DC and let the gangs fight it out for control of the city.

Nooo police have better things to do, like sending in undercover female officers to bust college kids drinking at 19 with no fake IDs.

19 YO drunk college students usually don't shoot back.

No, it was more dangerous in the late 80's and early 90's when it was known as "Murder Capital" with over 500 murders a year. Now we got the murder rate under 300,

In the same week as that horrible attack against the couple in Georgetown, I wonder how many other victims met their fate in more crime-ridden parts of the city, but those stories didn't make headlines.

The "news" by definition is always about what's "new". So, crime that happens in low-crime areas to the kinds of people who usually aren't targets is big news. I watched it happen all the time when I was living in Philly. Once a teen in a "safer" area was beaten to death, and the story was all over prime time news for weeks. It made national headlines, and people all over the country were talking about it for a long time.

Meanwhile, that same week, people were being shot and killed on a regular basis where I lived, and those stories weren't even making the police blotter on page 21.

My guess is Georgetown is still "relatively" safe.

-Thank you Jim-

They'd probably be less armed & outnumbered by the Crips, Blooods & MS13 gangstas.

The problem is not just black gangs - although that is serious enough. There are huge numbers of Hispanic and Oriental gangs around the entire DC area and spreading through Virginia into small towns, many of them into violent home invasions, rape, extortion in high school.

The membership often is composed of immigrants or illegal aliens. Yet in many of these areas police are not even allowed to check if they are legally in this country.
