In writing my book on suicide attackers, I had researchers scour Lebanese sources to collect martyr videos, pictures and testimonials and the biographies of the Hezbollah bombers. Of the 41, we identified the names, birth places and other personal data for 38. Shockingly, only eight were Islamic fundamentalists. Twenty-seven were from leftist political groups like the Lebanese Communist Party and the Arab Socialist Union. Three were Christians, including a female high-school teacher with a college degree. All were born in Lebanon.

All the anti-US commie groups are pro-terrorist, pro-Palestian, anti-Zionist groups who have used the Islamic movement to foment trouble for capitalists. This has been recognized all along. The World Workers Party sponsors most of the US anti-war movements, as well as the environmentalist movements. It appears that they use the emotionalism of Islam the same way that they use the emotionalism of the environmental movement for political purposes. It is just interesting to see that they consider the political terrorists to be martyrs. In other words, these people were martyrs to a political doctrine.
Oh I get it now.
Excuse me for being dense. I did not mean that and if I implied that it was a mistake and I was wrong.
It is not a case of them being one or the other, it is a case of them being both that is my point and that the fact that they are Communist is what ties them into the greater worldwide terror network.
There is a mistaken belief that Communist can only equal Atheist. Having heard Communist ideology preached under the banner of "Liberation Theology" in Catholic Churches in South America I know this is not so.
It is quite possible for a terror group to be Communist and subscribe to a religion at the same time.
Thanks for the message of understanding. Let me see if we can go one step further. I know that you think these are avowed Communists because they take advantage of the Communist's willingness to help them cause trouble. Wouldn't you agree that the Muslims are taking advantage of the help, but are no more committed to Communism than they are to Western ideology, even though they also take advantage of that that it suits them?
If you can accept that, then you and I are in full agreement.
It seems to me that Communism is an ideology which - whatever "merits" or demerits anyone perceives in it - is undeniably suited to the aggrandizement of unaccountable power. It seems to me that Islam is a worldview which - whatever "merits" or demerits anyone perceives in it - is undeniably suited to the aggrandizement of unaccountable power.
What would prevent someone who lusted after power from being attracted to a synthesis of Islam and Communism? About as much, I would think, as prevents a Communists from being attracted to Fascism. IOW, nothing as important to the psychopath as the attraction of power is . . .
The Ba'thist Party is perhaps the most visible example of this synergy between Islamist terror and Communism.
They are not pretend Communist, they are Communist with a Islam twist.
And if you look at how many terror groups are Communist with a twist then the picture becomes quite alarming indeed.
