The Passion of the Toys
In Platoon, Oliver Stone said the first casualty of war is innocence.
He was wrong.
As the photos here show, the first casualties of war are...the symbols of innocence. And photographers from Reuters and the AP just happened upon many of these perfectly placed symbols of war's horrors.

This last one is the only one that seems...untouched.
Feel the pathos. Mourn for these oh-so-photogenic and suspiciously dust-free trinkets of childhood.
Just don't ask any questions about their veracity.
That would be wrong.
Staged photos are a BIGGER concern. The MSM will now be able to say "OK, Reuters screwed up, see, since they got caught there won't be any more retouched photos!" and move on, *totally ignoring* all of the various staged photos that we've seen in the past month (such as the ones involving Green Helmet Guy and Multiple-Bombed-House Woman). The media has been focusing on the retouched-photo angle, while totally ignoring the faked and staged photos like these with the toys and stuffed animals.

It is probably the same suitcase he transported the toys in for the photographic staging! The photo of him carrying the toys was taken on his return trip, carrying the toys he BROUGHT TO the photo shoot.
Notice how clean the toys are!
I don't know what kind of toys exist in the Middle East; is it in fact common for them to have Wesern-style toys like Mickey Mouse? And can these poor Palestinians even afford what look like brand new off-the-shelf toys, which - in the case of Disney items - are often overpriced even by American standards?

Lol you're so wacky.
Green Helmet guy has a refrigerated truck loaded with dead children.
It follows that his convoy includes a van filled with teddy bears, children's shoes and pacifiers.
What's the source for these, so I can have some context?
those are awfully clean toys for having gone through a bomb blast.
Glad to see tourist guy in the photos!
I had requested that someone do that in an earlier thread.
Love your tagline!
but most likely staged.
I posted this a few days ago, but it's on topic again:

A LITTLE off topic, but I wonder if all these places where the "Koranimals" (i.e. hezzies, hamas, al-etc) live, if there is a "Mr. Haney"( like on the TV show Green Acres, that drove the old truck that seemed to have EVERYTHING on it, when Mr. Douglas had a problem, there was SOMETHING on the truck to sell or RENT to him to help him with out of his current "dilema").
IMHO, there HAS to be a "koranimal" version of "Mr Haney". Heck, it might even be a chain of M.E. "Mr Haneys."
Their trucks are with filled with an assortment of stuffed animals, assorted dolls, baby blankets, childrens' sheets and bedspreads, a hefty supply of bloody bandages, and fake casts, stretchers, and various obscure metal pieces that can be displayed as anti-koranimal bomb parts.
The fleet of "Mr.Haneys" all have mobile phones, and are on 24/7-365 call-up. Got a bombing ya need "dolled-up"?? Call "Mr. Haney M.E.", and he'll show up with his truck with everything you need to make that upcoming CNN photo shoot of a bombing, look like a "no-doubt-what-so-ever" CRIME AGAINST "UNARMED" HUMANITY !!
Sorry for the "rant" my fellow Freepers, but after seeing the "dead kids video" replay for the at least 100th time, it got me thinking of EVERY OTHER STAGED M.E. "photo shoot" like this......
One thing that bothers me. Maybe it's because my children are more destructive with toys in general, but all of the toys in these picture look like they were just bought. My children's well loved toys never look so new.
Somebody should insert the Lee Harvey Oswald backyard pic (posing with rifle) into one of these photos.
Boy there must be a Disney land in Lebannon. Look at all the Minnie Mouses they find. Or is it that Minnie gets around town a lot?
Israel should do everything in their power to completely shut down the cell phone network in Lebanon. That'd definitely help in solving this particular kind of problem. ;)
These toys do look like they're right off the shelf. And can impoverished Palestinians afford pricey Western dolls? Don't they hate everything American?
It's a cool tiger. Looks realistic. :-)
No Problem! Here comes your Bomb!
If 4 terms were good for FDR and the nation, how about at least 3 terms for GW!
