Don't understand why my local paper printed this but doesn't have it on their website, so here's the
Reading Eagle's website.
Not trying to break the rules about not posting AP stories, but I find it interesting why this keeps popping up in the news.

Due to copyright, have to click on the link to read story.
For reference, this is basically a rehash of a similar story from August 2004.
FYI, a July 2006 Harris Poll
In my local rag, this article was teased from the front page with a large banner above the paper's name (i.e., why I put this in "Front Page News", as well as "Editorial"). The article was accompanied by a graphic entitled "Belief Beyond The Evidence".
btw - I hadn't heard the word "flabbergasted" in a long while.

What an amazing headline.
The left is still denying that Saddam had WMDs and they can't understand why Americans aren't swallowing.

uh...because they did.
What is really sad is that a large number buy the lie that they did not, despite what Saddam did in the Iraq/Iran war and to his own people...and despite the overwhelming evidence found since we went in there.
He just didn't have nukes yet.

Why don't they write about the idiots who believe the 9/11 conspiracy theories.
To: P.O.E.
It is more like
Normal people try to understand why half of US still believes Iraq never had weapons of mass destruction despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary

Maybe the AP needs to do more research. The AP's first round of research on Saddam's WMDs was useless, and a lie.

Maybe the FACT that Saddam had and used WMD comes into play.
It's known worldwide that Saddam used WMD, gas attacks, against his own people and against the Iranians in their war.

Let's try an analogy here....
The police announce that in 3 days they will raid a known drug haven. When they raid the house, they find no drugs. Authorities are perplexed why more than half of those polled think that drugs existed in that house.

Experts try to understand why half of U.S. still believes Iraq had weapons of mass destruction Could it be because Iraq did have weapons of mass destruction?

I also say that, although found Not Guilty in a court of law, most Americans believe OJ killed Nicole.

Good analogy. But have the cops searched all of the back yard yet for what might have been buried?
