I don't know if this has been brought to anyone's attention yet, but in a quick search of the authenticated Reuters photographs attributed to Adnan Hajj, I found the following two.
One is from July 24 of a bombed out area in Beirut, with a clearly identifiable building in a prominent part of the shot.
The second is of the exact same area, same buildings, same condition, with a woman walking past "a building flattened during an overnight Israeli air raid on Beirut's suburbs August 5, 2006."
JOHN adds: Another example of the same phenomenon--not an identical photo, but two photos of the same woman, obviously taken at more or less the same time but published two weeks apart--in each case with a caption saying that she had lost her house to an Israeli bomb the night before!

You're right.
Good catch, Tet!
It's the hands.
" Mrs. Green Helmet..."
Keeping the family business going.
Until rooters does a headline with WE LIED AND LIED AGAIN, why would anyone in the US believe them again?
< liberal logic > If Hajj is good enough for the front page of the new york times, he's good enough for me </ liberal logic >
Look at the smoke in the picture to the left in post #7. See the pattern in the smoke cloud? Thats a clone tool being rather unimaginatively used. A really good Photoshop artist would have mixed it up and blurred the edges of the stamp.
To answer your question :
"Is this the same photographer that made the front page of the New York Times ? "
I do not know, but maybe some else here does.
hat tip to media mole
One of these days I'm gonna go to NOLA and find that guy!........
Someone should go to wikipedia and make the following additions:
Reutered-To stage, alter, Photoshop or manipulate an image.
Green Helmet Guy, White T Shirt Guy,Black Baseball Cap Guy, Red Hatch Mark Woman-
Refers to Hezbolla propaganda team operating in Lebanon and major source of bogus images supplied to Reuters .
Sorry, I misunderstood which images you were referring to.
BG,
Hey! You're gettin' a lot more "Welcomes" than I did!
OK, I have seen meny pics of the blue-shirted black guy selling drinks; who is he, why is he being used? (I know of backpack guy and green helmet)
Welcome to FR !
Good catch. Do you want to post this or should I ?
Page 1 above the fold in yesterday's New York Times featured a photo (below) by our new acquaintance Adnan Hajj. I suspect that not all is as it appears to be in the photo, and somehow doubt that Times readers will ever learn why that might be the case.
The Reuters caption reads: "A severely wounded Lebanese civilian is carried away on a stretcher at Maameltain bridge, after it was targeted by Israeli air strikes, in the north of Beirut August 4, 2006. (Adnan Hajj/Reuters)" (Thanks to reader David Butz.)
Well! Thanks George! Better late than never!:)
He just got his hands dirtier.
And a picture on the NY Slimes ?
Jason Blair, Adnan Hajj, Dan Rather.
