OK, now things are getting weird.
This Reuters photograph shows blatant evidence of manipulation. Notice the repeating patterns in the smoke; this is almost certainly caused by using the Photoshop clone tool to add more smoke to the image. (Hat tip: Mike.)
Its so incredibly obvious, it reminds me of the faked CBS memos. Smoke simply does not contain repeating symmetrical patterns like this, and you can see the repetition in both plumes of smoke. Theres really no question about it.
Smoke billows from burning buildings destroyed during an overnight Israeli air raid on Beiruts suburbs August 5, 2006. Many buildings were flattened during the attack. REUTERS/Adnan Hajj

all im saying is if you dont have the actual photo then people sound just like any tinfoil conspiracy theorist. I also think it looks suspicous....but we need to have a side by side evidence If you had a high resolution version, the artifacts would be obvious, or that there weren't any artifacts would be equally obvious.

I use that clone tool many times in removing unsightly items for curbside photos of real estate listings.
Green cable boxes, utility meters, hoses, bad lawns, cracked driveways, etc....all gone.
Pretty sad when the media do it to slant their bias.

If you use a magnifying glass you can see the weird waves around the head.

I said "may" because I wasn't sure. I know and respect the work of alisasny on FR. And I've told her that on FR. However, I do not recall reading her post using the phrase "lamestream media."
What's the search function you used to find a single phrase? Or was it just FR's own search function?

Is that not a truth in advertising violation? Does not sound like the ethical way to sell a home to me.

This is the same photog that took the staged photos of green helmut guy. Reuters must know what this guy is up to by now. Plus, you'd think they'd have photo editors that could spot this obvious fraud. Reuters is abetting this sham. The only way they could be innocent here is to be completely inept and unprofessional. Reuters is guilty too.

Exactly right. the fact that many were suspicious of the video of the green helmet guy and this is the same photog. it won't take much investigating to establish the connection and totally discredit the news agencies as leftist shills. this is great news.

I saw faces/skull shapes when I zoomed in on the pic in PSP too... Probably coincidental illusion, IMHO.

The photos are on the fact sheets inside the home or on the signpost at the property.
All one has to do is OPEN THEIR EYES and see the difference in the photo and the actual property.
If you're the kind of person that would buy a house based upon a photograph, you should freepmail me immediately. Bring cash!

Heh-heh! We need to keep visiting the source of the Reuters site pic to mark when they'll change it -hoping nobody will be watching. And when they do change it, we need to save the updated version, do a screenshot side-by-side and post it here for all to see.

"note the wavy areas in the smoke, that's an amatuer Pic Wytching.Note the rest of his body has no such wavy areas."
The wavy areas around the guy are from JPEG compression. JPEG tends to ghost areas of high detail when the compression level is high. I think the reason is that it uses trigonometric Sin() and Cos() functions as the basis for the compression, so there tends to be some repetition away from areas of detail (though it's attenuated). As a side note, the boxes in the main pic that are visible when you zoom in (the pic that spawned this post) are also from JPEG compression. Standard JPEG95 compression compresses along 8x8-pixel areas and in every JPEG you see (that are compressed with JPEG95, which is *much* more ubiquitous than JPEG2000) you'll see these boxes aligned along 8-pixel boundaries.

When I said good I meant good from the photog's perspective. Good as in, more likely the freelance photog would have a better chance at selling future pictures to Reuters/AP/etc. Or maybe the photographer is a hamas supperter. I have no idea.

No reputable photo journalist would consider a manipulated image passed off as an original a good image. It would be an illustration and labeled as such. A photographer, in sympathy with hezballah and attempting to deceive people to obtain sympathy for his cause is not a photo journalist, he is an enemy. Reuters is now the enemy and documented as such as we all knew for many years. These people are digging their own grave.
