I'm just wondering of those fellow soldiers out there, whom would actually join the IDF in it's fight against the Islamic jihad?
Are any of you willing to put your "money" where your mouth is? Are you willing to fight for western society, for your families, for your beliefs?
I have lost faith in the US public to understand the battle we are currently fighting. I do not think the majority of the US public understands the enemy we are facing.
I have 1 condition for Israel, you MUST fight to destroy the Islamist Fundamentalists, not cease fire, not truce, not a comparative understanding but to DESTROY the enemy.
I would like current and former soldiers opinions and what they are willing to DO.

I don't have a military background nor can I fight but I do understand your feelings about wanting this thing won once and for all.
Whoa big fella.... If the State Department/DoD says "any volunteers?" I'm all in. If its me going direct to a foreign nation to volunteer while still under the current oath of office, thats called at least AWOL if not worse.
I certainly understand your frustration. I've worked with the Izzies, flown with them (and flown some of their aircraft) sat and had dinner with some of the men currently flying the F-16I Sufa thats doing the precision targeting (media be damned) of the rocket tubes. They are the best, even better than us USAF guys. I don't know that we could help out much, truth be told.
Volunteer to help, yes. Go against my oath or out of my chain of command, no....

I think you would have to be fluent in Hebrew. I don't think the IDF communicates in other languages as a rule.

If it got down to brass tacks then I would. The Israeli Army seems to be getting the job done for right now.

If I felt that the US public was willing to confront this battle then I would be more than happy to serve, again, with my fellow brothers, but I just don't see that happening.
If the Israeli's are actually willing to take the fight to then enemy then I am willing to fight with them in any way I can.

I think it's clear most of us here support you and support Israel's struggle. We as a nation are fighting the same enemies, with our troops on the line too in various places, and have been for years although we aren't surrounded like you are.
I think at least one FReeper is actively serving with the IDF right now, but his name escapes me now. It's Thunder-something IDF.
My biggest problem is the thought of this WOT going on for the rest of my life because the world doesn't take it seriously. It's a pretty discouraging thought but I also know that quitting the fight means death on a scale the world has never known.
