IDF officialy has no comment.

US forces are the most mobile in the world, by far.

We move more, faster, than anyone else.

Maneuver has been the hallmark of the US since WWII...started with the Navy and Marines...then Patton...then everyone. Our armor can move faster than most light infantry. Our airborne is AT LEAST as good as the IDF.

Israeli troops on the ground near Baalbeck

BEIRUT (CNN) -- Israeli aircraft flew support missions in the sky near the eastern Lebanese town of Baalbeck Tuesday as troops hit the ground about 10 km north of the town in the Bekaa Valley near the Syrian border, Lebanese security sources said.

The Lebanese army also reported heavy helicopter traffic east and west of the town.

The Israel Defense Forces had no comment on the reports. (Posted 5:01 p.m.)

I am not sure about that statistic which, from looking at the Wikipedia page, does not have a listed source.

I did some searching, and at least at the New York Stock Exchange, it only shows 3 Israeli companies (Blue Square-Israel, Koor Industries, and Tefron Ltd) among the 453 foreign companies listed as of today, August 1st: http://www.nyse.com/pdfs/06nonUSIssuers.pdf.

Canada (88 companies), Britain (44 companies), and Brazil (31 companies), and Japan (18 companies) all have far more companies listed at the NYSE than Israel.
