Was Qana Staged? (Banner of Sec. Rice had to be made well in advance)

Was Qana Staged? Cont'd [Jonah Goldberg]

A giant banner denouncing Rice and the "Qana massacre" might have been made a bit too quickly.

I don't want to get too far out ahead on this, but I know we've got a zillion printer-type folks among our readers. Do you guys think such a banner could be made in 2-4 hours (particularly in a supposedly war-ravaged area)?

Update: From a reader:

"Do you guys think such a banner could be made in 2-4 hours (particularly in a supposedly war-ravaged area)?"

Heck no. A designer could throw it together in probably 15 minutes or so, but the longest part would be the printing. Notice how deep the reds and blacks are - this means they didn't just bust it out. I wouldnt be surprised if that job itself (requiring special equipment, as it looks to be printed on canvas or nylon, not merely paper) took 6 hours simply to print.

Also, that puppy would be expensive.

Update II: From a reader:

Nope. Not possible in 2 hours to design, typeset, print, assemble and transport to the site. 24 hours if you're really good to do all the above. I say that as an career commercial artist of 18 years now.

Update III: From another reader:

called a close friend who has a very large printing company in NY with the question.  he called out to one of his technicians as to how long a color 30 foot banner would take to produce.  the response was that it would have to be done by a special machine and that machine would take "5 to 6 hours."     by the way, their rather enormous, state of the art (less than 6 months old) facility doesn't even have the equipment necessary to do it.  so make a guess as to what's available in a war-ravaged area...

In other words, that's a painted bulletin sized piece of Tyvek -- requiring an even larger ink jet printer.

Can you tell if it's been pieced? I know the billboard banners are done in sections. If so, then you wouldn't need a printer that would put out a 14+ width banner, right?

"the clever bombs...stupid" rings of James Carville. They would use a democrat slogan of course.

Yes.....Just guessing, but the photograph of the poster suggests a width of about 8'8"...

I disagree. If the person standing to the right is 5.5 to 6 feet tall, that banner is 16 to 18 feet wide. Condi's face alone is 12 to 15 feet, ear to cheekbone. It is 25 to 30 feet tall.

The Tyvek banners are one-piece.

And this particular poster appears to be a.) Tyvek (or a similar material) and b.) one piece.

I agree with you that all of this is very suspicious!

I have often wondered about the videos that are shown at the nightly news of these people in third world countries holding and burning American flags - where did they get the flags? Are they that readily available over there? Or - as I suspect - some home-grown anti-American sympathizer supplied the flags for them to burn?

The other option would be that the flags were supplied by the media reporter or photographer at the site to "catch" the "precise moment" these anti-American rantings and flag burnings take place!

Comments?

assuming the graphics and the fonts were printed in the same run: no way, nfw that was whipped out in so brief a time.

however, it is remotely possible that the text is an overlay on graphics which were already available.

I find this unlikely, but it is a possibility only a direct examination of the print could falsify.

1) 6-8 hr delay before the building went down
2) 4-5 hr posing of bodies of dead children
3) 1 Dead child uniformly dirt covered, no smears streaks as if he had been buried in the earth , no signs of crushing or broked bones. 1 dead child in the same event with no dirt at all, no signs of crushing, or broken bones.
4)High quality Banner with appropriate captioning available within hours of event..

"You'd think a building with 50 people in it, at least a few would live.."

It appears that the women and children were dead before they were taken into the apartment building ground floor.

Did you catch Yoni on Hugh Hewitt's show today? He reported that there was a seven hour gap between the initial air attack and the building's collapse on to the lower floors. Why did people stay in a bombed building?

Sounds like a set-up.

"Did you notice that in all the pics, only children died? What, no adults? No adult males?"

Remember other earthquake events....bodies were being dug out from under the rubble for weeks after.

Here only "bodies" ....no pics of the rescue workers,....no cranes....no cadaver dogs......no tent communities in local park for survivors....in fact no survivors.

Add in the fact that the "rescuers" aren't even braking a sweat....no sweat stained clothing.....no cuts and bruses on their hands....no dust masks hanging around their nexts....in short entirerly staged and FAKE.
