QANA, Lebanon - Israeli missiles hit several buildings in a southern Lebanon village as people slept Sunday, killing at least 56, most of them children, in the deadliest attack in 19 days of fighting. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert expressed "great sorrow" for the airstrikes but blamed Hezbollah guerrillas for using the area to launch rockets at Israel. Olmert told U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza that he needed 10 days to two weeks to finish offensive in Lebanon, according to a senior Israeli government official.

Why is it automatically assumed that women can't be combatants? While we may not see them firing RPG's, they can be in the background loading mags and prepping rounds

In the US Army, a relatively small percentage of soldiers are actual trigger pullers. Most of the Army is in the business of keeping the trigger pullers fed, clothed, supplied, transported, paid, and housed.

The women who bring the food, tend to the wounded, bring up more ammo boxes, observe the other side and report -- are all combat support personnel

Identified among the dead was Mohammed Akbar, a 53 year old child. He had been sleeping inside a fortified room used to protect milk and other perishables. Unfortunately some personal fireworks, (bottle Rockets) were ignited and injured other children in the room. Some as young as 23 years old.
