Fox News military analyst Maj. Bob Bevelacqua, a former Green Beret, appearing tonight on "The O'Reilly Factor," compared Israeli actions in Lebanon and Gaza with Nazi actions in Russia during World War II. ... ....

"Saying the Israelis pulled out of Lebanon is like saying the Nazis pulled out of Moscow," he said. "They invaded Lebanon. They invaded Gaza. They take homes and then they give them back. And they expect some type of great recognition."

so the Israelis are like the Nazis...then what is Hezbollah? Guess they're innocent peaceloving victims of attack, just defending themselves by firing rockets at Israeli cities. Riiiight.

Yeah, old bob's just got to be in a continued state of shellshock after reading the freeper pounding aimed at him. Talk about incoming!

I was shocked. After he stated that he had business interests in Beirut it all became clear. Bob let his vested interests trump his concern for his own country.

If this POS doesn't look out , he will be eternally haunted by the ghost of John Wayne. He also will likely lose whatever security clearances he has with the US Gov. after this tantrum. Business chances in the new Lebanon................nil.

Yep, I used to respect Major Bob but the last year or so he's been coming out with some weird stuff on FNC and this was ridiculous.

"A good Corsican is a dead Corsican."

Is this a racist statement?

You know, he's probably being lionized by the DUngheap move on.com, and other leftist mutants. He's gone over to the dark side. The next thing we'll see, if he keeps this up, is Maj. Bob in a codepinko pink shirt screaming at the top of his lungs while the psychiatric guards strap on the straigtjacket.

Major Bob's got issues.

Here's a recent post from David Corn about MB:

" Bevelacqua, who supported going to war on the grounds that Saddam Hussein was a brutal tyrant and a threat to stability in the region but not a direct threat to the United States, is clearly unhappy with the whole contracting process under way in Iraq--which certainly colors his opinions, as does his time in the Special Forces. After hearing him challenge the administration's handling of the occupation on the air and in the corridors of the Fox News Washington bureau--I, too, am a Fox News contributor--I asked Bevelacqua to spell out his objections and talk about what he saw in Iraq during a recent month-long visit there."

"Bevelacqua is an idiot."

If that is indeed what he actually said, I agree with you.

"Saying the Israelis pulled out of Lebanon is like saying the Nazis pulled out of Moscow," he said.

While extremely inappropriate, a well-meaning person could make this kind of statement on the spur of the moment without realizing how bad it sounds.

Without knowing anything else about Bevilaqua, I'll reserve judgment, though from the other comments the verdict sounds bad.

If such a remark was prepared, or not sincerely apologized for afterward, that's totally unacceptable, and most likely anti-Semitic in motivation.

It's not just this remark. Every time he's on, he says something ridiculous. And you don't need to be an expert to see that he's an idiot.

Major Bob has a security business in Lebanon so he's not exactly an unbiased source these days.

FNC should drop him for his clear conflict of interest regarding this matter.

No, Johnny Z, I don't think a well meaning person could make this kind of statement, even spur of the moment.

And ole Bob isn't well meaning.

Why is it we never see these pictures in the mainstream media? It should be obvious what these people are.
