Sky News said they had spoken to Syrian cabinet minister Amr Salem.

"Syria has real hard knowledge," the channel quoted him as saying.

A Sky News correspondent said the Syrians were offering to tell the US where many fundamentalists were.

He said the channel was told specifically there were cells of Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda terrorist network in Lebanon, and Syria knew of their whereabouts.

Since Syrian troops pulled out of Lebanon last year, the cells have grown, he said.

"We know where they are and we can tell you," the correspondent said Sky News was told Syria was prepared to say.

And we expect them to tell the truth about ALL of them? Yeah, right.

Sounds to me like the Syrians are getting the message loud and clear. This is a part of the results of the Iraqi campaign. They now can see their neck is next on the chopping block.

It's not quite an eagle but listening to shlep smith on Fox this morning he was panting as he exclaimed that Syria wants to talk about the situation in South Lebanon. Hey Shlep, in case you don't know it, we spent over 20 years trying to get the Syrians out of Lebanon, and here you are panting about the possibility of bringing Syria back into the equation. That's a recipe for disaster.

Hezb. are shia. Iran wants shia control. I would bet my last dollar that Ahmadinejad told Assad to give up sunni-affilated terrorists. It makes it sound like Damascus is doing a good deed. In fact, it would give more control to Hezb. and to Iran.

Al Qaeda is being systematically wiped out in Lebanon. Syria is shaking in its booties. Assad knows that his military forces are weak and their equipment is old.

Here are some interesting images. The first is of a broken store front window with a photo of Hezbollah leader Nasrallah. The store is located in South Beirut. The city was sold out by its own government. A government that was controlled by Syria and Hezbollah.

The other photo is of what used to be the Hezbollah stronghold in Beirut. Hezbollah and al Qaeda are the same animal. One is a white animal with black stripes. The other a black animal with white stripes. Same difference. [More Photos?] Now just smoking ruins.

If they are telling this to journalists two rules apply
  1. If their lips are moving they are lying
  2. They want to use the media for propaganda purposes to advance their agenda

It is in the interest of the shi'ia sect of Hezbollah to get rid of the Sunni sect of aQ.

Yesterday sheppard made two statements that had my blood boiling.

A$$inine statements by sheppard smith 7/22/06:

1)"Israel was forced out of Lebanon, running with their tails tucked between their legs". (reference to when Israel withdrew after UN Resolution 1559 was passed)

2) "Israel has admitted that they cannot win a ground war in Southern Lebanon."

I turned off Fox for the rest of the weekend.

Well, they're worried about the chopping block, sure, but I figure they have to be worried about the Israelis finding sadams weapons even more.

LLS, your name is so apropo when discussing shlep. I turn off the TV when shlep makes his appearance. I just cannot take him anymore. This week, for the first time in years, I will not be watching shlep at 7 pm. His snide, condescending, and patronizing remarks to Israelis just burns me up. I'm also tired of shlep telling me about all the great things the hezzies do for the poor. I think the nazis took care of the poor as well.

Thank God shlep was not reporting from Poland in 1939. When shlep finished his handiwork, there might have been an volunteer detachment of the "Abraham Lincoln Brigade" going to fight with the nazis. I hope Conservatives turn shlep off when he shows that mug of his.

This is still a good thing.

1) It gets rid of a bunch of Muslim terrorists.

2) It gets all the Sunni countries pissed off at Iran, further splitting the "Muslim block". Who knows, mabye the Sunnis will start funding suicide bombers to infiltrate Iran.

3) Pass the popcorn!

Cheers!

If this is true, Syria might go the way of Libya.

That's what crossed my mind too. It looks like GWB is making good on "smoking them all out of their caves." If true, then Syria is seriously shitting their pants, which in turn means that Iran is shitting their pants.

GWB done good!

Yeah, they call it 'social services'. If the Scarecrow Media (I wish I had a brain) had a brain, they'd wonder if it was a good idea for a govermental or quasi-governmental entity to be in charge of giving out social services. It appears its far too easy for that entity to become totalitarian, when it is in charge of people's well-being. "Grab 'em by the wallets, and the hearts and minds soon follow."

Hizballah is just like every other totalitarian outfit. The commies, fascists and nazis all provided social services and all found it easy to get their dependents to go around and murder other people. Too bad the Scarecrow Media doesn't learn a thing.

I disagree. Iran is now seeing that the Arab world is NOT behind them. This shows how isolated Iran really is in their agenda.
