fox info babe stunned that china is involved!... someone ought to send her a link to Free Republic
Allot of the various news-readers are stunned at the real news. Many of them are readers, not researchers. They only read what it put in front of them. They aren't necessarily able go beyond the script -- much like the Hollywood crowd who are good on script but incompetent when off-script.
I am surprised, sort of, at times at news-readers who are regurgitating 'old' news ('old' in Internet terms can be minutes or hours) in this age of immediacy.

The itinerary is being followed just as planned isn't it.

I find it that Israeli spokesmen are calling this a "limited ground operation." It would be better if they staged an unlimited operation to destroy Hezbollah. Nothing truly great is achieved by moderation, and terrorists are like cockroaches: if you see one there are probably more, and even one is too many.

I hate to have to say this, but here it is.
I'm afraid that the Israeli's are going to find themselves in the same kinda position in Lebanon as we ar in Iraq.
They are fighting one in the same terrorist that we are. Uniformless and hard to be distinguised between an innocent.
I wish and pray for Israel all the best, but I really think this will turn into a real mess.

I agree, Syria should be wiped out totally, but not Iran. If Iran pulss any stunts, then we should not hit the nuclear facilities, that is a waste of time and money. We should hit every oil/gasoline refinery in the country, every oil/gasoline storage tank, every oil producing capability, etc. This action will cripple the Iranian economy overnight. Yes, it will impact world oil supply and prices for a time, but that inconvenience will be well worth it, because the Iranian population will overthrow the government immediately. And....if they don't, within two or three weeks they will be starving to death!!! The time is now. It will never be better!!!

Yes, and the DUngheap next to the DUmpster are probably recruiting their human shields for hezbollah. At least the IDF would take many of us at Free Republic. However, I can't imagine hezbollah wanting help in the trenches from those cowardly leftist/liberals.

The French surrender may have already happened; does anybody remember how they stopped last year's riots? As for the Franco-Saudi agreement, that looks like a deal with the Devil to me. I have an essay on my website about similarities between the Saudis and the ancient Amalekites, entitled "Satan's Chosen People?"

They are going in gingerly because of all the roadside IED bombs, anti tank rockets, ambushes and other surprises that await them. Slow way is the best to liquidate Hizbullah fighters and their weapons (rockets. missile) caches.
On TV was said Israeli combat engineers are hard at work eliminating IEDs

Put in perspective, I think they have Israeli permission. The Israelis have been dropping leaflets and blowing loudspeakers into the area for 48 hours telling the civilians to move. I think the element of surprise isn't a consideration.
To: diverteach
I hope the IDF isn't afraid to shoot anything that moves!

No one ever said fighting for freedom is easy. Both America and Israel have suffered casualties in the war against Islamofascism. Still the bottom line is no country, whether Israel, or our own can be defended without some people dying for it so the rest might be able to live in a free nation. There is no way to get around it: freedom exacts a high price and you just have look in the cemeteries to see who made our safety and ability to have the choices we have possible. The soldier. Let's never forget their contribution to the defense of the liberties we all hold so near and dear.

Well, if the IDF still knows what it is doing, more power to those folks! I'm just hoping they don't get shackled by "political correctness," like what has happened to our own armed forces.

Prediction: Syria is next, leaving Iran totally isolated. Then it's either regime change (not likely) or Israel (backed by US forces) moves in for the kill.
