IAF Commander Maj.-Gen. Eliezer Shkedy said on Sunday that the IAF had only used "a small proportion of its fire power" in its attacks on Lebanon, adding that it was the IDF's prerogative how much of its military capability to use and warning that "the other side should consider all its alternatives."
"Our fighter jets have made over 1000 flights and our attack helicopters over 350," ...
"The results of our operations have been good and the targeting precise..."
The IAF commander explained that Hizbullah infrastructure had been targeted in the north, south and center of Lebanon.
Shkedy added that sea, air and land routes to and from Lebanon had been closed off, severely damaging Hizbullah's ability to operate and blocking all links with Syria.
Senior intelligence officer Yuval Halamish said that the IDF had successfully destroyed the rocket launching site pointing towards Haifa, which was responsible for killing eight people early Sunday, and that the new 250 millimeter rockets fired were Syrian made, demonstrating the strong connection between Hizbullah and Damascus.

the MSM,French, etc. are demanding proportionate repsonse. Well it seems, after reading this article, Israel's respsonse SO FAR, has been more than proportionate.
If they keep this BS up, No More Israel...
Stupid, Stupid West.
The Islamofascists should know that if Israel wanted to it could turn the entire middle east into a smoking hole in the ground. So they should be happy that their land is not being turned into a glass parking lots.
Do the Hizzies like living in rubble? I'm beginning to wonder.....
What's the French definition of "proportionate response"? Throwing down their weapons, raising their hands, and flying a white flag?
Israel must use ONLY a proportionate amount of force. This means using no more force than that required to DECIMATE and DESTROY WILLPOWER TO FIGHT of Fatah, Hamas, Hezbollah, and if required, Syrian and Iranian military. NO more, and NO LESS.
.......that and crapping their pants ......
If the Israelis are only using a small amount of force, they are fools. The Arabs see restraint as weakness and will be encouraged to attack further.
"Meanwhile, the Home Front Command officer repeated his call on northern residents to remain in shelters or secure rooms and to closely follow the media for further instructions."
If this operation were truly successful the quote above would not be necessary.
I agree. The US too has only been using a small amount of force. I'd say less than 10% of our capabilities. Perhaps that's why we're still in Iraq after 3 yrs and will probably still be there in another 3 yrs.
We need to use 100% in this war.
I think overwhelming force is better. The US and its allies showed that that worked in Iraq twice. Word War I was the ultimate example of proportionate force. Neither side was able to overwhelm the other over a period of over four years. The roughly balanced strength of the opposing forces led to incredible amounts of carnage.
Well there goes a source of white flags.
Didn't Chirac say a couple of months ago that if French "interests" were subjected to a terrorist attack, France would use nuclear weapons?
So maybe he is disappointed that Israel hasn't followed his precepts and gone nuclear?? (A reporter should ask him.)
An Israeli Diplomat said 'the strikes have been very MEASURED.'
"If they keep this BS up, No More Israel...
Stupid, Stupid West."
If the barbarians in the ME could stop Isreal they certainly would. They can't as they are too busy cashing their welfare checks and putting bombs on their kids.
IMO, it's Israel's "shock and awe" time and Iran should get the first taste and the second taste goes to Syria. Any hidden WMD's in Syria that come out of their tunnels, caves, or sand pits and it will be our turn as an ally of Israel to use our Navy and Air Force to take care of business.
The operation isn't over yet.
NorCalRepub: .......that and crapping their pants ......
Paleo Conservative: Well there goes a source of white flags.
LOL! There's always truth in good humor.
Humor???????......damn, and I was trying to be a Historian.....*wink*
