I thought this could be a new thread for today. BurbankKarl's thread did well yesterday.
Oops...forgot to ping Miss Marple. MM, this question is about Crystal. Also, please note my #767 wherein I comment about him in response to BurbankKarl.
who is this CNN chickee?
People wounded and killed in modern artillery barrages or from airstrikes with bombs have been hit with shell fragments, not shrapnel.
I don't think shrapnel has been used since WWI.
What is the difference between artillery shrapnel and shell fragments?
Don't even get me started on the difference between a 'mortar', a 'cannon', and a 'howitzer'.
You are very correct. We lack the strong will and are easily pulled back from going for full victory into quagmires. Although the previous generation did it too, in Korea and Vietnam.
Did you see the nursery school in a bomb shelter Anderson Cooper was showing last night? Brightly painted murals on the walls to calm the children and give a sense of normalcy.
So much like Capt. Kangaroo....
LOL! Your just showing your age is all.
Bump to your post #611. Where would we all be if not for FR?
Stuck with biased, often irrelevant television coverage.
If you are a user of FR, please donate now. We need to keep this valuable forum viable.
I've seen her on Saturdays and Sundays, the weekend stringers.
The world never seems to learn the lessons of a long history.
Okay...maybe it was a broad brush, but one day Democracy is all the rage and the next it's at the bottom of the "things-we -care-about-in-Iraq" list. Supporting Arabs and terrorist groups, those from OUTSIDE of Iraq, is more popular.
We own Jordanian intelligence. We helped them set it up and paid for it. Jordan allowed two brigades equivalent of SOF to transit through to Iraq prior to OIF, despite public statements to the contrary.
Same deal for SA, except they set up their own intel services, long history there, see "GIS" and "Turki"
thanks for the info...but probably not. He is with a college group and have very good security..new security measures are in place, and in Tel Aviv there will be some warning should a missile be fired toward there...he leaves there on Tues very early am, so "so far, so good"
I knew someone would remind me! Thanks so much! I expect pingpong balls and Mr. Greenjeans everytime I see Bolton. His appearance belies his intelligence.
I think that he looks like Teddy Roosevelt.
I think they were also saying that it gives the military power to commandeer private homes as well. But not certain if this is the highest state of internal alert or second to highest.
I'd do that before I ventured into Syria. Forgetaboutit!

This is what makes Israel such a scary opponent, their oft demonstrated ability to track enemies in real-time, and their willingness to use PGM's to target them.
Fingers crossed.
LOL, yes it has...how you doing, kiddo?
