Naw, ya got it all wrong. This is *micro* evolution. See, that's *totally* separate from *macro* evolution.

The flat earth crowd - oops, I mean the "Young earth" crowd, will discount anything that doesn't agree with their pre-conceived ideas.

I will wait for these finches to turn into something else. Meanwhile, I only see the environment favoring one thing over another.
Earthworms don't do so well in the desert, either.

A medium sized species of Darwin's finch has evolved a smaller beak to take advantage of different seeds just two decades after the arrival of a larger rival for its original food source. Sensationalist headline and article.
Evolutionary events do not occur within 20 years.

So thats what happened to democRATS......

You are being cynical.
I know Finches are evolving - I was in conversation with one the other day,

Well, if these finches are any guide, it will only take about 20 generations for the flat earth crowd to develop smaller brains [if at all possible]. Do not lose hope.

Adaption being used to prove evolution.

So finches evolved into . . . finches.
And in 20 years no less.
What a dramatic transformation!
In other news, I've noticed that dogs in my neighborhood have evolved into dogs over the past 20 years. And I notice the pigeon eggs in the area have hatched into . . . pigeons.
