If Israel takes any sort of retaliatory action, it will be broadly and roundly condemned.
Israel is supposed to just shut up and take it.
I thank Olmert and the other peace doves for being so timid in the past few years that this sore was allowed to fester, and Hizbollah was allowed to build up its base in Lebanon.

No weapon formed against Israel will prosper.
It will be an ever bigger rout than the Six-Day War and the Yom Kippur War.
It will take a lot more to happen for nuclear weapons to be used. Part of that may include a sense of hopelessness on the part of extremists, such as Iran. Why? If Iran or its' surrogates were to use nuclear weapons (assuming they have them), there would be no further escalation in the conflict that Iran could bring to bear. Using nuclear weapons would be the "last option" Iran could use, because their country would most certainly be attacked with nuclear weapons in response.
Is Haaretz blaming Israel yet?
