Do you notice Andrea's total intellectual vapidity, as reflected in her question and followup about Joe Lieberman? Not getting the answer she wanted from Schumer, she went off nearly indecipherably about what might happen after the primary.

Whereas release of the banking info could have been argued on philosophical grounds (convoluted, yes, but nonetheless arguable), the release of the Cheney/Rumsfeld info was purely personal. IMO, the Times is trying to put the screws to the administration to pull back on the ongoing leak investigations which I do not believe are going well for the press. Why do I say that? No leaks, period.

There will be more leaks that could put in jeopardy the lives of people associated with the President, VP and others.

At some point the administration will realize this war is being fought on many, many fronts and respond accordingly.

...Bennett...with CNN...perhaps thinking he would get a wider audience that NEEDS to hear the other side?

Correct, Bill has said as much, although "wider" is correct compared only to his radio audience, not correct compared to Fox News, who beats CNN regularly.

Where are all the protestors against landmines, since they have become the preferred weapon of our enemies?

If we fight acc. to Laws of Combat, we will lose as surely as the Redcoats lost against the Revolutionary War soldiers.

Nice to see the Swift Boat Vets sticking up for truth, justice, and the America way once again.

They're also serving notice on McCain, Kerry, and any other lying vet that the TRUTH is just waiting in the wings.

Senators have the right to put a hold on a nominee and it cannot move forward. I know that Linseed Graham has a hold on someone that the President wanted. There are other senators playing that dirty trick too.

It's not all Specter's fault.

Sorry, none of these shows come on in Denver until nine. I have to rely on FR to find out what's going to happen. If you remember some of it, please post it so we can all know what she's saying or doing. Thanks!

Nice to see the Swift Boat Vets sticking up for truth, justice, and the America way once again.

The Swift boat vets are not/not involved. Some of the supporters are involved. It is unfortunate that this linkage is trying to be made. It diminishes the truly non-partisan efforts of the SBVFT who were formed for the specific purpose of going after Kerry.

The official secrets act only covers those that sign it.

What the act does is give one access to classified material and places so it is highly unlikely that any member of the press would be security cleared to sign it unless they had already worked in an area which required them to sign it.

We would be more likely to prosecute a reporter though for printing classified information though I have to say things are appearing in the press that many years ago would not have.

My father worked for the post office and he had to sign it which meant that even if had wished to he was not allowed to visit any eastern european countries whilst they were under communist control.

Regarding location of politians houses this has never been an issue in Britain most people who have an interest in politics know where the MPs or ministers live and their homes are often shown on TV. I understand that security is much tighter in the US and therefore the NYT should respect this.

She represents what Dr. Sowell calls "the anointed class." People like this should not be reporting, they belong with their special interest groups on the left

She is definitely of one mind set and is not for open debate and other thoughts on an issue

She basically below off the callers that supported this war and this administration

Thanks anita,

I almost lost my coffee reading about Gore's charity giving. What a guy.

I also hope Ailes does some house cleaning. FNC is losing their focus that got them the ratings in the first place, and it shows.

I see that you were right, Phsstpok. You just kNEW that someone on MTP would make a snarky comment about Bill Bennett's gambling.

Great post/link Ali and happy Fourth of July to you and everyone here.

As much as the driveby/junk media as MNJ calls them, try and spin the war in Iraq as anything but just, when the rubber meets the road and our troops give their lives for a just cause you cannot fool the American people.they will always come out in droves to support our brave troops.

They know truth, justice, and honor when they see it and realize that what our troops are doing in Iraq is far more than a just cause, we are

The fact the the msm/old media no longer shares the values that we as solid Americans do should surprise no one. It will however encourage those of us who do believe in the right of all nations to have free will to do what we can to spur things along.

That's why we are here on FR and it shows more and more every day.

The Swift Boat Vets have a wonderful reputation for patriotism. To be connected with anything AGAINST Murtha is perfectly within their mission.

The fact that the media and the left is using the term 'swiftboating' is in our FAVOR.

Oh my goodness, the press is just in high dudgeon over being made the whipping boy. It's purely for political purposes purposes on the part of the Admin. We are really the watchdogs of freedom. Trust us in the press.

Andrea Mitchell arguing with Bennett that the USA Today story was right; Bennett is saying it was wrong.
