To: snugs
Whereas release of the banking info could have been argued on philosophical grounds (convoluted, yes, but nonetheless arguable), the release of the Cheney/Rumsfeld info was purely personal. IMO, the Times is trying to put the screws to the administration to pull back on the ongoing leak investigations which I do not believe are going well for the press. Why do I say that? No leaks, period.

There will be more leaks that could put in jeopardy the lives of people associated with the President, VP and others.

At some point the administration will realize this war is being fought on many, many fronts and respond accordingly.

I also wonder if they are trying to show how elitist (in their opinion) Cheney and Rumsfeld are having expensive holiday homes in exclusive districts - therefore trying to impress on the "little people" how out of touch they must be with everyday folk.
