IMHO the reason is because the munitions came from Russia, China and France

I truly have no idea how legit it is..just found it on a google news story about the wmds. I think it will be just 'moderate' enough that the lying dems will inadvertantly use the very same talking points that the North Koreans do....lol
Let's not forget that they do have a missle fueled and pointed in our direction! We need to throw the farce and dangerousnous of the dems lying asses into the fan in the next few months.

I pray that happens. I always believed there were things happening behind the scenes, part of the larger strategy, that explain much that baffles us now. This, in all appearances, suggests that. The President did say there would be trials ... and victories which we necessarily could not be made aware of.

"it said Cheney had to "take on the CIA". If Cheney did that, it's to his credit."

I watched the whole sordid, scummy propuganda and the more they attacked Cheney, the more I was proud of him. I think he still thinks, as I do, that Saddam had a hand in the OKC bombing which Clinton couldn't stand for America to find out about. So the bastird buried it!!!

North Korea has the story before the LAME STREAM PRESS...LMAO..Look for the dems to follow North Korea's 'talking points'....

I'll looking at their final couple of sentences. Somehow I can believe a defense official saying this, as it appears the Bush administration still doesn't want to change its current story regarding the absence of such weapons:

Offering the official administration response to FOX News, a senior Defense Department official pointed out that the chemical weapons were not in useable conditions.

"This does not reflect a capacity that was built up after 1991," the official said, adding the munitions "are not the WMDs this country and the rest of the world believed Iraq had, and not the WMDs for which this country went to war."

I'll go to the Fox News site to see if I can get confirmation of the North Korean statement.

And here is the Fox News statement; it is identical to the North Korean text, but has additional information:

Report: Hundreds of WMDs Found in Iraq

My conclusion after reading the Defense Department statement is that this story is not going anywhere; the Defense spokesman essentially pulled the rug out from whatever traction the story had. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot... Grrrr.

What makes anyone here think that the TRUTH about anything will matter. The bulk of the country is nursed off the tit of the MSM and they believe what they are told is true. PERIOD
I don't think the Libs even worry too much about the truth coming out at this point . They know most people are morons these days and have little understanding of what the hell is going on . The media rules and the sheep follow. They can say almost anything now and people will just believe it. This story wont even make the papers . Half the US cares more about the damn baseball scores or who Brad Pitt knocked up . FR is one of the last places where the truth matters and real news is presented.

"Shooting yourself in the foot? Shame on him for not spinning it more? The non-liberal press seems to be grasping at straws.

Welcome to FR - why are you so anxious to sidetrack this story before the facts are fully known and analyzed? As for the alleged anonymous DoD spokesman, it sounds like a spokesman for the DNC....... are YOU?

"Precursors aren't the same as WMDs."

Yes, I'm sure that would be the lib/MSM spin -- but how long does it take to turn precursors into WMDs? Seconds, minutes, days, longer? If you have the precursors and you have the delivery devices, do you have WMDs or is there still some elaborate process of manufacture? Anyone know?

"Somehow, the thought of GWB authorizing Jimmy Carter receive briefings on anything is far-fetched, don't you think?"

Exactly...

Speaking into Carter's ear, is the same at talking into every anti-American's asshole...

Carter's legacy is secure -- the Nation's all time worst President..

Let's not hype up the amount of damage that one sarin shell could do... 20,000 casualties in Manhattan resulting from one sarin canister is certainly an overblown figure.

However, if released in an enclosed area like a subway system (which we know that Al Qaeda was planning on doing) sarin could plausibly kill tens or even hundreds, while resulting in thousands of casualties and quite a bit of panic.

Either way, it cannot be denied that sarin and mustard are deadly chemical munitions, and this proves (once and for all?) that Saddam Hussein had, in fact, maintained at least parts of his WMD programs, and was still in possession of at least some chemical weaponry.
