Can't all days be like this? First, we deny them Fitzmas, then Bush pulls a surprise visit to Iraq, then this. There must be a suicide watch on over at DU and Kos. Only seeing Cynthia McKinney and/or William Jefferson, Democrat, Louisiana led off in handcuffs could top this day of sheer delight.
The uber-Libs in my office are very sullen today. Just delightful.

Now for the real news!
President Bush, left, extends his hand as he is greeted by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, right, during his surprise visit to the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Driving under the influence of PERSCRIPTION drugs???? That doesn't sound ILLEGAL to me....is there a LAW against driving while taking a PRESCRIPTION drug???? Yes, there is a law against driving under the influence of ANYTHING that impairs you ability to drive. If you claimed cough syrup made you woozy, you could get charged.
To: Hildy
This is a lie...he was drunk. I'd like to know if the penalty is different for drinking or prescription drugs.Probably not, unless he has prior alcohol offense that we don't know about. (In NY for example, a DWI charge is a felony if the person has a prior DWI conviction within 10 years.)
To: The G Man
What a week!! Patsy Kennedy guilty, no Fitzmas for Rove-hating Demagogues, President Bush in Iraq meeting with Iraqi government, Zarqawi dead and feeding the worms, etc. etc.
Now we just need to see Cynthia McKinney and Wm. Jefferson "frog marched" and a few more improvements in the world.....

Nancy Pelosi announced today..in Roll Call, I think..that it's time to retire the "corrupt Republicans" manytra..and move on o something positive...guess that means Jefferson's eally, REALLY dirty..I've been smiling all morning from the news over the past 10 days, starting with the election in CA-50 (GO Bilbray!) and up to the death of Zarqari and the fact it now looks like the Haditha thing is nothing but MSM lies and Pres. Bush's visit to Iraq, and now you give me this! SanFranNan backing off the "culture of corruption" because the dems - and not just Jefferson - may be on the wrong side of that one! BWAHAHAHA! Thanks! It's a great day to be a Republican.

Money talks. What's ironic is if i was pulled over,i'd get a trip to the station, take a breath test for alcohol intoxication and probably have to supply a blood/urine sample to ck for other intoxicants(mj,pills, etc)At the least,i'd spend the night in jail and most likely loose my DL.

2006 is turning into the slugfest of all slugfests. I've NEVER seen the momentum shift this quickly since I've been following politics.

Great picture, Grampa! The coverage of the meeting of President Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki this morning on Fox News was fantastic! Newscaster Bridget Quinn could barely contain her excitement...
