As soon as the U.N. directives take place and free speech is revoked, there will be no more U.N. bashing (or Rush Limbaugh or Foxnews). That will solve everything.

"Exacerbating matters is the widely held perception, even among many U.S. allies, that the U.S. tends to hold on to maximalist positions when it could be finding middle ground," Mr. Malloch Brown said."
IOW, the US should be morally pliant spineless jackals like the Euroweenies.

Said Mark Malloch Brown a Briton who is deputy to Secretary General Kofi Annan, there is "too much unchecked U.N.-bashing and stereotyping." As a result of far, far too much unchecked U.S.-bashing and stereotyping that has gone on in the UN for the last forty years. They never seem to recognize it, though, just as fish don't recognize water.

I don't need Fox News or Rush to tell me the U.N. S*cks!
The guy who wrote this is as irrelevant as the U.N. itself.

Going to the UN and honoring the resolution controlling Desert Storm is what cost Papa Bush the presidency and what coused the hundreds of thousands of deaths in Iraq in the last deacde -plus. If we had done then what we have had to do since then, Iraq would be much closer to becoming a peaceful, democratic society today. And, no one would have ever heard of Cindy Sheehan, and Casey would be manning a post in Guam.
Get U.S. out of the UN; get the UN out of the U.S.

"Said Mark Malloch Brown a Briton who is deputy to Secretary General Kofi Annan, there is 'too much unchecked U.N.-bashing and stereotyping.'"
This statement is the perfect, concise, stand-alone statement that makes the point for Fox and Rush. This guy and the UN want to stifle free speech and everything else that opposes them and their agenda. Nice of him to put us and the rest of the world on notice, so that we know what they are really up to.
To: governsleastgovernsbest
Neither Rush nor Fox told me that the UN has a Communist history, has a long record of ineffective action and corruption, and wants more money to waste. The UN wants to tax the US for its "dues," and as a step toward one world government. The record of success of the UN is lilliputian compared to its monumental failures.

the U.S. tends to hold on to maximalist positions when it could be finding middle ground," Mr. Malloch Brown said." Translation: It would be so much better if the US would just do it our way and surrender to communism.
