Live Thread - California Primary Election - 6 June 2006
Live Election Returns (vote.ss.ca.gov/index.html) ^

Posted on 06/06/2006 7:45:05 AM PDT by CounterCounterCulture

Welcome to the live thread for the California Primary Election. Polls are open until 8pm tonight. If you are a registered voter, it is your duty to vote and defend your rights and civil liberties, protect your pocketbook, and vote the bums out where applicable.

Feel free to discuss issues key to your local area that others may be interested in. Post your polling place experiences if you like. And post numbers as they come in later tonight.

that's possible. I didn't catch what the door said, just the giant signs pasted all over it saying "San Jose Fire Fighters Support Cortese".

hmm, that's similar to the laws on "gun free zones" where its nearly impossible to have a gun because you can't help but pass through one of these zones or even living inside one.

This roadway may actually have been 100 ft from the "polling place", but not from the people walking in.

I'm worried about the Independent. If this race is close he could throw this to Busby.

Off topic, but bad news for Sen Burns of Montana. He looks like he will face the non scandal tainted Dem opponent, Tester, who is winning by a landslide in the very early returns (rather than the ethically challenged Morrison). It looks like they will hold. The bulk of the votes are from Billings. Burns is winning easily, with about 70%. But I have come close to writting this seat off, anyway.

KOGO 600AM reports the absentee ballots turned in before today shows Bilbray 50%-42% over Bubsy. That's a GOOD start.

Tester is more liberal and Burns runs better with him than Morrison.

How absurd that there's a good chance MT could be represented by two DEM Senators. Kind of like ND, makes one really wonder what's going on.
