EL PASO, Texas - Lance Cpl. Miguel Terrazas’ bedroom is nothing short of a shrine to the Marine whose death in an Iraqi roadside explosion preceded a firefight that now is the focus of a criminal investigation.
His dress blue uniform, complete with his ceremonial Marine Corps sword, hangs in a cherry wood display case. His medals, including the Purple Heart awarded after his death, sit below his jacket.
“It’s very hard for me, I don’t even listen to the news,” Terrazas said of reports of the mass killings.
‘Those Marines just did their job’
Marine officials initially gave the same story, that 15 civilians were killed Nov. 19 in the explosion and a subsequent firefight that also killed eight insurgents. Several months later Time magazine and then Arab television stations obtained a videotape of the scene, showing the bodies of women and children. The video, Iraqis’ accounts of the day and other emerging details sparked a criminal investigation.
Terrazas said he has met with many from his son’s unit who told him they did only what was necessary to survive. He wouldn’t say when he spoke with them.
“Those Marines just did their job,” he said. “Some of these kids were saying, ‘We have to live with it.’”
Former Marine Luis Terrazas, Miguel’s uncle, said Marines are trained to stay cool under pressure.
“Jarheads don’t just go out and kill because they get frustrated,” Luis Terrazas said. “Their training is exquisite. It just doesn’t make sense.”

I just heard a guest on Tucker Carlson's show, named McCann, say that he heard that the "action" that day in Haditha took place over a 5 HOUR time period.
That sounds odd to me...5 HOURS? Does it to you?
I don't think the alleged "massacre" was the only fighting that day. There was quite a bit of activity.

Also, I noticed on the news tonight that a car with two women, one pregnant was shot at by Americans when it didn't obey rules to stop...and I guess the women were killed.
I have a feeling THIS will get a lot of play tomorrow.
Our poor troops...are going to be so afraid to shoot...they are going to get themselves, and their fellow troops killed.
AND, this is exactly why, I have a hard time with this...it is exactly what al-queda would do to perpetuate this "stereotype" all over Iraq, which would make the Iraqi people that WANT to trust us, not trust us.

I've seen him lose his cool many times on H & C, either with Shaun or an opposing guest. He was out and out disrespectful when John O'Neill was on a show with him recently, may have been Cavuto not H & C, started yelling over John and the host to rant about the Swift Boat Vets, which none of them were even discussing. The guy is a nut case like most liberals.
We will stand with our Marines because they stand for us! Their innocence is assumed and will be vindicated. The same is not true for PravdABDNC who show their hatred for Our Soldiers.
