A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

So we're here to banish those doldrums and make you smile inside! Please feel free to post sweet graphics and/or little stories that make you feel all warm and fuzzy - or just come by and give us a smile. Only two more days 'til the weekend!

It is. It uses cell towers to provide the signal just like your phone, and you can use it anywhere there is a good signal. I even used it in the car coming home from our vacation. It also kept me from having to use other people's dial-up and tying up their phonelines. You KNOW how many hours I am here! LOL! It is GREAT!

I don't know the technical term, but it works like broadband speed. I even posted music and previewed it with the card and had no trouble.
The only annoyance I had was occasionally getting disconnected, especially if I tried to go to e-mail. And we were waaaaay out in the country on vacation so the signal wasn't as strong as it would be near a town of any size.
