DC SNIPER GUILTY - John Allen Muhammad
AP ^ | May 30, 2006

Posted on 05/30/2006 11:46:53 AM PDT by RobFromGa

Washington-area sniper John Allen Muhammad was convicted of six more of the killings Tuesday after a trial in which he acted as his own attorney and the prosecution's star witness was his young protege and partner in crime, Lee Boyd Malvo.

Muhammad, 45, is already under a death sentence in Virginia for a killing there. The most he can get for the six Maryland slayings is life in prison without parole.

The jury took slightly more than four hours to convict him after a four-week trial.

The trial marked the first time Malvo testified against the man prosecutors say was his mentor and manipulator. During two days of testimony last week, Malvo, 21, gave the first inside account of the shootings and described Muhammad's elaborate plans for a reign of terror.

Hang him in Virginia and send the body back to Maryland for the six life sentences!

Wow he looks kind of respectable there. Maybe the press will call for his release soon.

OK, this wasn't a Helen Thomas thread.

I still think it would have been the best if we all caught a break and both of those guys had died during an attempt to capture them.
Any air they are breathing today is IMO an insult to all those they killed out of their discrimination and worshiping of the Islamic cult.

His life sentences might be served before the justice system gets around to executing him.

He should be executed by sniper, let him loose in the prison yard and leave him free to walk around for a few hours. Every once in a while, a shot rings out. Stay away from the head and chest for a while.

"The jury took slightly more than four hours to convict him after a four-week trial."

Damn jurors delaying a verdict to gain a literal free lunch. More government wste!

Oh well, they deserve something for sitting through m's rants.

OK, this wasn't a Helen Thomas thread.

LOL! What an evil old witch. Did you catch the exchange today with Tony Snow?

QUESTION: Why did the president pick a man who is so contemptible of the public servants in Washington to be his domestic adviser, saying, People in Washington are morally repugnant, cheating, shifty human beings. Why did he...

SNOW: Apparently an opinion that's...

QUESTION: Why would he pick such a man to be a domestic adviser?

SNOW: You meant contemptuous as opposed to contemptible I think.

QUESTION: Pure contempt.

SNOW: I'm not sure it's pure contempt. I know Karl Zinsmeister pretty well and he is somebody who expresses himself with a certain amount of piquancy. You're perhaps familiar with that, aren't you, Helen?

Maybe the press will call for his release soon.

Or perhaps Osama Bin Laden, via the MSM?

Its nice that the press will make this guy look decent & respectable, our President and soldiers on the other hand...

Isn't it a shame that the Democrats couldn't use him for a commencement speaker due to his trial. /sarcasm
