ALBANY, N.Y. -- Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is getting her bid for a second term under way with a sometimes emotional 18-minute video that features praise from her husband and even some New Yorkers who opposed her candidacy six years ago.
"I didn't vote for her. I think I will this next election," says Tim Damon, owner of Damon Rods in Potsdam, N.Y., whose company's Web site shows former President Bush with a Damon fishing rod.
The video, previewed for The Associated Press, will be shown Wednesday at the state Democratic convention in Buffalo as the former first lady and potential 2008 presidential candidate marks the start of her re-election campaign.
While there is plenty of praise for Clinton in the video, there is no mention of her past in the White House or 2008.
Ryan Moses, executive director of the state GOP, scoffed at the video. "Everyone enjoys a good fictional story or movie, but this has to be one of the all-time greats," he said...
Then there is a shot of Sen. Clinton, laughing. And then one of Bill Clinton, smiling.
"The so-called experts counted her out a lot of times," the former president says...
Some of the praise for Clinton fits into the gushing category.
"I think of Hillary as a lioness protecting children," proclaims Linda Fairstein, a former New York City prosecutor.

I see her more as a wolf - lying in wait for my child. Teeth bared, claws extended, fur ruffled, waiting to pounce.
Oh, on the contrary. Her "village" (cult) is not only devouring their flesh, but destroying their eternal souls as well. Satan himself must adore this woman.
Given her *pro-choice* views, I think of her more as a spider devouring her children.
I think you owe an apology to the lupine species for that comparison. Wolves may be dangerous, but should be respected.
If Bill Clinton had not been president she'd never have been elected in any state to the US Senate because nobody would of ever heard of her. Hillary is a phony and always has been. She's a construct of speech writers who without she'd just stand there and say "you know, you know, you know, you know". Her life is very "lucrative" because it's a life she could have never achieved on her own.
Hillary Clinton is not where she is because she's "the smartest woman in the world" it's because America has some of the dumbest voters in the world. Especially in the state of New York.
I think that Gennifer Flowers,Monica Lewinsky,Juanita Broderick,Webb Hubbell and Vince Foster have a rather different view,Miss Fairstein.

I really see her as more of a skunk, but that just didn't sound right.
Never listen to what a politician says. It's futile. Always watch what they do.
Bill and Chelsea didn't just flee from this beast, they fled to a completely different continent to get away from her.
That's why he's smiling. He got away!
That's OK. As we get closer to 2008, that'll be taken care of. We won't let anyone forget.
