On page 40 of document ISGQ-2003-00000847 there is an October 2002 document where there is a request submitted by Zoo Al Fikar Military factory to the Iraqi Directorate of Planning and Follow up for 500 Kilograms of SODIUM CYANIDE (NaCN), 15 tones of HYDROCHLORIC ACID ( HCL), and 30 tones of SULFURIC ACID (H2SO4). Sodium Cyanide is an important precursor to produce a Chemical Weapon called HYDROGEN CYANIDE (HCN) also known as ZYCLON B and the use of Sodium Cyanide with Hydrochloric acid or Sulfuric Acid will produce this Chemical Weapon. Although Sodium Cyanide can be used for other military and civilian applications its combination with Hydrochloric Acid or Sulfuric Acid will produce Chemical Weapons and knowing Saddam Regime obsession of acquiring Chemical Weapons and other WMD, this document has a lot of importance.

This paragraph from MSDS website regarding the danger of Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN) and how it can be obtained by mixing Sodium Cyanide (NaCN) and Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4).
Exposure to 300 ppm hydrogen cyanide by inhalation can be fatal within minutes and lower doses can endanger life. The high toxicity of HCN was once exploited for the execution of prisoners in several US states; the HCN was generated as needed by dropping NaCN into a solution of sulfuric acid. http://www.ilpi.com/msdS/ref/cyanide.html
This one is interesting.
All Hail Jveritas! :-)
Unusual mixture of chemicals. Any chemists in the crowd? Anyone know the special process Iraq used to produce VX nerve gas?
As usual, however, good job jveritas.
Very good, jveritas. You are still busy I see and you know that we thank you for your diligence in this task.
Some of these chemicals are apparently coming from western sources ... was any of this stuff banned material? Who was supplying it? France, Germany, Russia?
Good job, jveritas.

I need to find out if Sodium Cyanide was banned material, but it would be very stupid thing by the UN if they did not ban it.
Good job, but I think this one is not that interesting. I've actually ordered many of those chemicals in a single order myself.
Nice graphic my FRiend :)
Sodium cyanide is a common reagent in organic synthesis. I used to produce HCN for reactions in the lab -- it has a funny sweet taste in the back of the throat. I heard of HCN related manufacturing processes back in the thirties causing the workers to turn blue somewhat permanently. This list of compounds is not, in itself, suspicious.
This is the only delusional defense of the letcherous left!
Pretty sad!!! Not to mention dangerous to the freedom of mankind!!!
If the chemicals were dual use, they may have been allowed, but with close monitoring (you have got to be able to hear my sarcasm through the internet on that one)
But this, having the chemicals requested together, and then the paragraph on how to mix them....
I've been waiting to use it. :-)
Were you trying to make HCN :)
My bad , the paragraph was seperate and used as a reference in this posting.
It is used commercially in gold mining. It was used until 2003 (in the West) as a pesticide ingredient (to kill Japanese Beetles inter alia). Some Third World economies (Philippines) use sodium cyanide to stun or kill fish for harvesting. It was formerly used to fumigate bee equipment.
Yet another good find jveritas, thanks again for your hard work.

Are you telling me that Hydrogen Cyanide or Zyklon B used by the NAZI in concentration camps is not a deadly chemical agent?!
