Conservatives, nationwide are getting angry about the loss of principle by GOP'ers in office. Big spending in Washington and Sacramento. The inability to control illegal aliens. Failure to protect jobs and the failure to stop the social agenda of liberals in our schools in finally causing conservatives to say NO to GOP incumbents, even if it means we could lose seats in a legislative body. The thought is simple, why protect a Republican running for office if their voting record will differ little from the Democrats.
In Utah, GOP Congressman Chris Cannon could not win his Parties endorsement for re-election--his opponent got more votes in Convention then he did.
In Nebraska, Congressman tom Osborne, and legend in the state, was defeated for the nomination for Governor due to his weak stand on illegal aliens.
In Heardon, Virginia, five incumbent city council members lost re-election due to their creation of a "Day Labor Center" for illegal aliens.
In the California 50th Congressional District Special Election, the Democrat is ahead of the Republican, since the Republican has been portrayed as more liberal than many Democrats--has even supported Democrats in the past.
But, Pennsylvania last Tuesday should have been the two by four to every GOP candidate and office holder in the nation. At least 14 incumbent GOP office holders, including the top two in the State Senate were defeated in a Republican primary, by Republicans. The good news is that if they had not been defeated, many GOP voters would have stayed home in November. This is a lesson for us in California, and the nation, GOP voters have had enough of Republicans acting like Democrats. Our candidates need to stand for GOP principles, then vote and govern that way once in office.
No longer will GOP voters settle for, "well at least they have a "R" after their name." There is a revolt going on in GOP ranks and it is moving across the nation.
Regards,
TS
BTW I sincerely hope you're right, but my experience is that there are a lot of FDR Democrats voting Republican in Nebraska because of the demise of the democrat party - that doesn't mean that they are Conservatives.

Ricketts, Heinemann, Osborne, Stenberg ... Any of them could give Hagel a challenge as much as he's shat on the hometown folks.
It isn't that unseating Hagel will require a strong candidate. It's that Hagel is such a weak, vulnerable incumbent. All that's really necessary is to overcome the liberal wing of the party, and the incessant boosterism from the World-Herald.
Conservatives need to face the fact that our position in this culture is genuinely precarious. If we lose our hold on power, well scream bloody murder on our outlets at everything the other side does. Yet those screams may only confirm our helplessness. The deep cultural dimension of our political battles makes an ordinary transfer of political power far more consequential than it was in the days when America had a bipartisan foreign policy and a broad cultural consensus. We can dream about forcing Republicans to the right and then riding back into power two years later, but one big loss could easily turn conservatives back into a marginal cultural force for some time.
[Qx commentary: I'd say--would definitely turn conservatives back into a marginal cultural force for the forseeable future. Think about it. It is CERTAIN--100% CERTAIN that the DIMRATS are up to the tops of their pointed heads in bed, in the swamp, in universities, in the media--every where--with the NWO Marxists/ Machiavellian/ tyrannical/ One World Government globalists. Just watch what their stands have been on every major issue the last umpteen years--e.g. immigration, the wall, national ID's etc.
Sure, it's likely a hideous number of RINO's are also complicit with such evil folks and plans--though OVERTLY to a LESSER degree. And LESS in bed with EVIL is BETTER! and in this case, often enough, MUCH better.
Obviously, to me, the old truism exists in this context. Evil individuals are essentially extremely selfish. They would slit their grandmother's throat for an advantage. They are, to some degree, competing with each other to be king of the evil hill--at least as high as they can claw and grasp up the world government food chain.
Therefore, THEY want to be in overt political power when the world government forces it's way overtly on the world stage. They want to get all THOSE political plums, slots, power positions; !CONTROL! POSITIONS; PERKS. This is one of SHRILLERY'S main driving forces. I figure she's AT LEAST DETERMINED to become QUEEN OF NORTHAM.
If conservatives loosen their very tenuous grip on any levels of power, ANY SPHERES OF POWER even slightly--the DIMRATS and their complicit demonic forces (yes, literally), will swoop in with all the force and energy at their disposal TO TAKE THOSE LEVELS AND SPHERES OF POWER OVER UNTIL THE WORLD DICTATOR PARCELS THEM OUT DIFFERENTLY AFTER HE TAKES OVERT WORLD CONTROL.
I kid you not. This is just logical. This is a minimal logical sorting through of the current USA/global political stage. It should not even be a remotely doubtful conclusion of anyone informed and logical enough to view the whole scene with a very reality based perspective. This has nothing to do with conspiracy THEORY. This is just a minimal facing of THE FACTS regarding the forces of global power manipulation and spheres of political, economic, media, cultural power as they really are at present--and particularly as they are certainly to most likely to be in terms of trend lines for the next several to many years.
I say again, we, as a people, a culture, as individuals who care about our nation, ourselves and our family and loved ones--we canNOT AFFORD to loosen our rather tenuous grip on any levels or spheres of power politically in 2006 and in 2008.
Sadly, that means we cannot trade in a RINO for a DIMRAT in any race without super huge destructive risk. Those are risks we simply cannot afford at this time.]
Why have Democrats been so angry? Its because their taken-for-granted cultural superiority has been called into question by 9/11, the return of patriotism, a tough foreign policy, and the open defense of the sort of traditional values they thought were on the way out.
They did not just think those values were on the way out--they have been busy engineering the exit of such values for decades. THEY HAVE PUT IN PLACE THE JUDGES WHICH HAVE REMOVED SUCH VALUES FROM THE PUBLIC SQUARE OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR DECADES. THEY have put in place the legislators, lawyers, ACLU, movies, professors, media leaders and media organizations which have been working overtime to remove such values from culturally high ranked positions--they've been at it INCREASINGLY SUCCESSFULLY FOR DECADES.
At this time, they are salivating and getting erections and orgasms over the close at hand prospect that their values will be commanded from the top of a tyrannical globalist government. They can't wait. They are prone to rushing things too fast--so fast that people notice and start to rebel. Regardless--they are champing at the bit and ruthless TO FINISH THAT TASK AT ALL COSTS ASAP.
That is NOT THE TIME to give them a micrometer. Give them a micrometer and they'll take a kilometer. We canNOT afford that.
Republican victories have punctured the cultural lefts sense of the historical inevitability of their triumph, and that is at the root of their rage.
ABSOLUTELY. And their greed, lust for power and rage are all escalating exponentially. The more they get the more they want. The more they are hindered, the more they want sooner. That we cannot change EXCEPT BY CONTROLLING THE REINS OF POWER IN AS MANY WAYS AND PLACES AS LONG AS WE CAN.
By controlling the political agenda, conservatives control the cultural agenda as well (or at least a large part of it). But the truth is, other than the government, the left is still in control of our critical cultural institutions. Should the left recapture the government as well, it may well succeed in pushing traditionalists aside in the culture at large." -Stanley Kurtz at The NRO Corner
ABSOLUTELY. And 1/3 to 2/3 of the world's population WOULD NEVER EVER AGAIN SEE IN THEIR LIFETIMES A FREE REPUBLIC. They would not even SEE one, much less live in one--becuase they will have been killed by the tyrannical world government and the chaotic, warmongering forces it turns loose upon the world.
We canNOT afford that.
Yes, students of Biblical prophecy can rightly say that some variation on that theme IS inevitable. HOWEVER, WE DO NOT HAVE TO BE COMPLICIT TOWARD SUCH AND WE DO NOT HAVE TO GREASE THE SKIDS AND HASTEN THAT DAY. We will be held accountable for choosing to do and act toward the opposite on the side of God, good and right.
I asked if she knew the difference between a wall to keep people in and one to keep people out? She said that we shouldn't be keeping them out.
So I asked her if she had doors and locks on her house and why, but the best she could do was sputter and stammer. Then most everyone else there sided with me, even the other Dems.

Excellent. Thanks much! PLEASE keep up the great work.
imho, it was virtually certain that in the climate of that election context, there was NO WAY McClintock was going to be allowed to win.
The evil forces of the DIMRATS et al against him would have been energetic, frenzied, unprecedented and successful.
Many had:
Bush 04
Viva Bush
stickers on their cars.
I think they know what we are up against. They are all aware of the little dictator in Venezuela, and know what the "dims" bring to the table. I'd have to answer your question with a "yes" they will.

Glad to read that. I believe that most folks who are closer to the hard realities of working hard to earn a meager living--such as most 3rd world immigrants--most of them realize that the DIMRATS have only smoke and mirrors to offer.
I still think that you have not counted the costs seriously enough, well enough or with enough perspective, or something.
I do NOT believe we can afford such a stance as a Republic and survive in anything close to a Constitutional form.
Thank you.
I don't believe that crap like that can go unchallenged. Even if I didn't dent her thick skull, I believe that I helped to put the issue into perspective for the other people there.
And believe me, I wanted to dent her thick skull. She was really full of BS. She even said the Specter was conservative. I guess from her viewpoint on the outer fringes of the moon bat left, he might look like that but only if you looked through the wrong end of the binoculars.
Heinemann may have a chance, but he'll be 2 years into his second term as gov. and it may not bode well for him to jump to the Senate. Osborne? Hmmm. Do you think after his defeat he can come back? Would he?
I'll bet there's a Sec of Ag and his wife who would love to come home and run for the Senate. Yikes.
I was hoping you would tell me the GOP was deeper than that.
Any chance Phil Erdman would run for Osborne's Congressional seat?
Regards,
TS
I don't know. I don't think much of Osborne as a senator anyway. But he could probably give Bagel a run for his money.
I'll bet there's a Sec of Ag and his wife who would love to come home and run for the Senate.
Yeah, that's always a possibility too. And a good one.
I was hoping you would tell me the GOP was deeper than that.
They've got a bench. You don't appreciate how much Hagel is hated in this state.
Any chance Phil Erdman would run for Osborne's Congressional seat?
Don't know him. I don't know what Osborne's plans are at this point.
Don't know him. I don't know what Osborne's plans are at this point.
Check him out. I know him from 2000. He is the State Senator from District 47. Young, Conservative, a Farmer and a go getter.
As for Hagel, I share your loathing of him. I talked with him in South Carolina during the 2000 elections and he is McCain's sock puppet. I am not a fan of either. Regards,
TS
The true RINOs are in bed with the leftists every bit as much as the liberal Democrats. They're just less overt about it.
I would agree that now is not a very good time to kick out the RINOs, but the RINOs will do all they can to ensure that there will never be a better time.
This country survived eight years with Clinton as President. For two of those years, the Democrats held the House and Senate. Despite that, the Republic survived.
For a variety of reasons, it's often easier for a minority party to hold together than a majority one. In a minority party, nearly all of the politicians will try to be on the good side of party leadership in the hope that, should their party regain the majority, its leadership will offer them a nice piece of the spoils. By contrast, in a majority party, some politicians will realize that they aren't getting, and won't get, as much from their leadership as they want, and will thus feel less incentive to submit to leadership pressure.
Liberals couldn't pass Hillarycare in 1993. The only way it could possibly get passed today is if RINOs push it through.
To be sure, there are many bad things Democrats could and would do if they regained power, but they're not nearly so dire as RINO supporters would have one believe. I do not doubt that a Democrat president taking power in 2009 would pull us out of the Middle East in reckless fashion, but I would expect Bush to have done a good enough job stabilizing things before then that things might hold despite the Democrats' efforts to sabotage them.
Now, THAT's what I'm talkin' about!
ping
I wonder how many races we're talking about.
Oh if ONLY!
Thanks so much Jim. Don't know when these boobs are ever going to get it except when they get defeated. We DO NOT send them to WDC or State Houses to act like Demonrats. Maybe this will wake some of them up.
I think I understand your perspective pretty well.
I wouldn't doubt that a lot of RINO's are as complicit with the NWO folks as a lot of DIMRATS.
I still say, we canNOT afford the DIMRATS GAINING ANY MORE POWER AT THIS CRUCIAL TIME.
It sounds to me like, you don't perceive the many slippery slopes and banana peels I think our Republic is on at this time.
Things are leaking out about high ranking officials just trying to hold things together with bubble gum, duct tape and bailing wire until 2012--when something horrendous is slated that evidently will make a lot of things moot.
I any kind of super crisis or even just more of the very serious crises we have now--it would be HELLISH for the DIMRATS to be in power. It's bad enough without them overtly in power.
imho.
Thanks for your reasoned reply.
I perceive them all too well. I also perceive that for the moment there are enough honest people in this country, holding different amounts of power, that if the liberals were to try to destroy this country tomorrow the backlash would cripple them. The reason the liberals aren't yet making an all-out overt effort to push this country off the cliff yet isn't that they don't have control of the Congress and presidency, but rather that there are too many Americans (both inside and outside the government) who would try to stop them.
In many ways, I think freedom would be safer with the Democrats holding 51 seats in the Senate than with a mixture of RINOs and Republicans holding 51 seats. Even if the Democrats have a 51-seat majority, that would hardly guarantee passage of everything the Democrat leadership wants. Instead, individual Democrat Senators would start playing games the way Chafee, McCain, et al. do.
