My mother Marie will be 94 next month, and she has been a faithful Catholic all of her life. She fell and fractured her hip, and, as I post this, she is currently in the hospital awaiting the surgeon's decision on whether he will operate tonight or tomorrow.
Fortunately, her heart and lungs are in good shape, so she is a good candidate for surgery, but she has senile dementia. The source of concern for our family, based on what her primary care physician has said, is that she may not go through rehab well enough to go back home. As I am sure everyone knows, often elderly people go downhill fast after this sort of injury.
Please pray for this dear lady. She raised 9 children, and she has 28 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Thank you. I will, with God's help.
Our times are not in our hands, but in Gods.

I know, I have seen them. God willing, my mother will see 100. She said a few years ago that she intended to live to 100, and my mother is a very determined lady.
Thank you for your prayers.

Prayers for you all.
You may take some comfort in these words by Civilla Martin, who, with her husband Walter Martin, wrote a number of sacred tunes popular in the twentieth century, including My Heavenly Father Watches Over Me. She wrote the following hymn while recovering from an illness in 1904:
Refrain
God will take care of you,
Through every day, over all the way;
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you.
Through days of toil when heart doth fail,
God will take care of you;
When dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you.
All you may need He will provide,
God will take care of you;
Nothing you ask will be denied,
God will take care of you.
No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you;
Lean, weary one, upon His breast,
God will take care of you.
Prayers for a good outcome.
God bless your Mom....its in the Lords hand now.
Prayers for your dear Mom
