My mother Marie will be 94 next month, and she has been a faithful Catholic all of her life. She fell and fractured her hip, and, as I post this, she is currently in the hospital awaiting the surgeon's decision on whether he will operate tonight or tomorrow.
Fortunately, her heart and lungs are in good shape, so she is a good candidate for surgery, but she has senile dementia. The source of concern for our family, based on what her primary care physician has said, is that she may not go through rehab well enough to go back home. As I am sure everyone knows, often elderly people go downhill fast after this sort of injury.
Please pray for this dear lady. She raised 9 children, and she has 28 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Prayers up for her healing. God bless you and yours
Thank you.
I will add her to my prayers. I hope she gets better.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Prayers sent. May you all find guidance in the love and grace of our Heavenly Father who will see you all through this with grace and mercy.
My mother is suffering from advanced Alzheimer's too. You have my prayers, as I know what you are going through!
Thank you.

Thank you. Prayers sent for your mother and you and your family.
I send our prayers.This mornings devotional included the following hope it may help;
Despite all the changes in life that we can neither prevent nor control, we are tempted to believe that we run our lives, determine our futures, and manage our destinies. James urges us to repent of such prideful boasting. Our times are not in our hands, but in Gods.
I should be able to update everyone tomorrow (Friday).
Bigg Red: My prayers for you and your mother.
Some years ago, an elderly neighbor (92 at the time) fell and broke her hip. The doctors and assorted naysayers all said she wouldn't recover. They were wrong. She's not 100%, but she gets around with a walker. God willing, she'll hit the century mark in September.
Prayers are answered. Miracles do happen. Where there is breath, there is life. And where there is life, there is hope.
God bless you and yours.
Thank you.
