A representative from Mexican President Vicente Fox claims that if the US National Guard troops detain illegal aliens crossing the US-Mexico border, the Fox government will file a lawsuit against the Bush Administration in US federal court. There are some political observers who believe that the American Civil Liberties Union is preparing to assist the Mexican government in such a lawsuit. In fact, the ACLU sent a statement to the Mexican government regarding their stance on immigration enforcement.
As Congress moves forward to reform our nations immigration laws, the ACLU said the US must reject measures that threaten to increase the bloodshed on our borders. "Innocent peoples lives and liberty should not be threatened by this dangerous deployment," said ACLU Director Anthony Romero.
Following President Bush's speech on Monday night, the American Civil Liberties Union urged the president and congress to reject any measures that fail to uphold the letter and spirit of our laws and encouraged lawmakers to adopt immigration reform that protects the freedom and privacy of all in America. Conservatives are wholeheartedly in favor of upholding the "letter of the law," but it's the so-called "spirit of the law" that leads to the problems in the US on a multitude of issues, they say.
"Turning immigration enforcement policy into another military operation is not the answer. The presidents proposed deployment of National Guard troops violates the spirit of the Posse Comitatus Act, which prohibits the military from getting into the business of civilian law enforcement," says Romero.
Mr. Romero failed to mention how National Guard troops are routinely deployed fully armed for disasters such as Katrina or terrorist attacks such as 9-11. In fact, during riots and other dangerous incidents, Guard troops are deployed without hesitation on the part of elected officials.

According to numbers in a statement by Rep. Steve King (R-IA) illegal aliens are responsible for the deaths of 9,125 Americans per year and sexually abuse 2,920 American children annually. It is apparent that the ACLU has no concern for these thousands of American citizens and, instead, are helping the invaders who are killing those Americans.

If you had access to that information (I found it startling) it would make a good stand alone thread.
"I teach too. Exact same situation. Mexicans (almost no other countries represented) will NOT say the pledge to either the U.S. or Texas. Looks of disgust on their faces while it is said. I honestly believe the government does not have an idea how grave the situation is."
Our "leaders" are stuck in their ivory towers (and limos) and really have no clue as to what's happening on the street. They depend on "think tanks" (an oxymoron) and manipulated "poll numbers" to get their information. Big mistakes. This issue is going to magnify and alienate even more VOTERS than it has already. Placating the American people just doesn't cut it any more.
Just flink them. These are future voters. Just what way do you think they will vote? If allowed citizenship and their rate of birth, it's just a matter of time before we are the minority and they vote our money as theirs=socialism. It's coming all across South America and I bet Mexico will get a Socialist after Fox is gone
Thanks for the details. I almost said that the ACLU has always been a Communist front but I was unsure of the origin so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. In the future I will say the ACLU has always been a Communist front.
You are exactly right. ACLU has even come out in support of pedophiles.
Congress provided in the Civil Rights Act of 1866 declaring persons born in the US who are subject to a foreign power are deemed to be non-citizens of the United States.
That means individuals born here---including children of immigrants ----who are running around carrying Mexican flags, following the orders of the Mexican government, are not considered US citizens under the 1866 US Civil Rights law.
The recent protests--invaders carrying Mexican flags---and the Mexican government share the same goals: legalize Mexican illegal aliens and keep the borders open.
The Mexican government sees this as a way to relieve economic pressure on their government to reform the economy. Mexico's leaders also work to retain the loyalty of the immigrant mobs so that, even if our laws allow them to become American citizens, they retain their loyalty to Mexico, and are subjects of the Mexican government.
This outrageous plan is being discussed thanks to the dupes in the US Congress.
In the Mexican Congress, it was recently announced that a document would be drafted, to show support for the protest marches in our country. The Mexican government published advertisements in leading American newspapers calling for the legalization of illegal immigrants (those in the United States, not in Mexico) and "a far-reaching guest workers scheme." Not only that, said the ads, but "in order for a US guest workers program to be viable, Mexico should participate in its design, management, supervision and evaluation."
In other words, the Mexican government wants veto power over U.S. immigration policy.
Outrageously, many in our own government are assuming the Hyphenate-Fellate position and are only too happy to oblige, as long as there's votes and campaign contributions to be had.
Ruben Aguilar, spokesman for President Vicente Fox, made this statement to support the marches: "The recent protests carried out in different places in the United States are indicative of the imminent necessity of a migratory accord that corresponds to the interests of both countries, and that especially to the defense of the rights of migrants. The government of the (Mexican) Republic ratifies its commitment to the Mexicans who live in the United States and its intention to work in the defense of their rights ..."
Congress must act to deny citizenship to any American who is subject to, and who is following the orders of, a foreign government under the Civil Rights Act of 1866 declaring persons born in the US who are subject to a foreign power are deemed to be non-citizens of the United States.
Can we counter-sue the ACLU?
Jeff Head posted a thread with this as its central theme.
Sure seems like a fitting ending for the ACLU, let them sue sue sue sue sue and have their pocketbook pay for all the lawyer fees generated in defending against their flood of illegitimate lawsuits!
After all they have seen to it that is the precident right?
Anthony D. Romero is the ACLU's sixth executive director, and the first Latino and openly gay man to serve in that capacity. He came to the organization from the Ford Foundation's Human Rights and International Cooperation Program, Romero also served for nearly five years as a Ford Foundation Program Officer for Civil Rights and Racial Justice; and for two years on the program staff of the Rockefeller Foundation.
In the past, he was the Vice Chairman of the White House Internship Advisory Committee and acted as Co-Chairman of the Funders' Committee for Citizen Participation. He was also Director of Human Rights and International Cooperation at the Ford Foundation, which turned "into Ford's largest and most dynamic grant making unit" under his leadership [2]. Prior to this position, he served as Program Officer for Civil Rights and Racial Justice for the Ford Foundation. He has also been part of the Rockefeller Foundation, and Puerto Rican Ancestry.
Recognition
In 2005, he was named one of Time Magazine's 25 Most Influential Hispanics. Additionally, Time has named him "The Champion of Civil Rights."
It's clearly an act of international policing, and sovereign protection.
Hmmm....... I wonder if his back is still wet? LOL

BTTT
What a surprise, the Anti-American ACLU does not think the US has a right to defend it's borders. I am shocked (not).
Make it a trifecta with a DNC mug !
Thanks for the research
