I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.
Mod Note:
This could turn into a whack-a-troll thread. All immigration trolls that would like to participate should post here. It'll be interesting to see if we mods can whack the trolls faster than they can sign up new accounts.

George Allen support the idea of mandatory trigger locks...I believe he also supports the 'assault weapons ban'...But even so, he could get their endorsement...
Ah, but to have them wait in line behind those who FOLLOWED THE LAW would require them to GO HOME. I see nothing that implies he means they will be deported. In fact, he said they will NOT be deported to that "end of the line". You, sir, were not paying attention to the man. I was. Indeed. One made a mistake. The 2nd is going to repeat that mistake - only on a larger scale.
There is no increase in green cards. There is no increase in citizenship. They must move to the back of the line. There is no comparison between Reagan '86 and Bush '06. Reagan's was worse, it's common knowledge that it was and you haven't demonstrated otherwise.
There is nothing more I can say to you. Goodnight.
Goodnight, Gracy.
Is that the best you can do? Pity that......
I've seen some here...Can't verify they were actually black, but they were definately helicoptors, I think...
LOL...time to change that tinfiol. ;^)
thank you :)
The only problem with a permanent fence is how will we escape if Hillary is elected?
thanx :)
Yes, we have laws on the books but they aren't being enforced. LEO is NOT allowed to ask if someone is a citizen or not. The day laborers stand in groups under the freeway and LEO drives by looking at them. No broken laws in just standing there. The existing laws haven't already been tried, groups like the ACLU prevent it.
Hey, somebody's got to carry on the tradition...
"I thought the speech was one of his better ones and it proposed a rational approach, which of course the democraps will quickly derail because they don't want ANY success while Bush is president."
His sales job is not an "approach".
The "comprehensive" bill before the Senate contains over 400 amendments, the majority of which are not reforms but simply how to massively increase immigration and, in some cases, insure "enforcement" will never be too harsh (like Durbin's amendment to fire all the current immigration judges to be replaced by new positions to be staffed by the lawyers who now work as advocates for the immigrants.
Try this for a start:
http://www.heritage.org/Research/Immigration/wm1076.cfm
and then tell us what is the most "comprhensive" part of the bill.
When you've gotten educated about what is the substance in the law behind Bush's good intentions, tell me what you think.
I have lots of them. I'd like portable truth detectors to be surgically implanted into every elected official that will deliver a 20 volt charge everytime they knowingly lie aloud. But then, we'd really never get done because no one would live long enough to serve out their terms, so that wouldn't work either. :)
If the party fails to focus on the threat from Hillary and tears itself apart from within in pursuit of doctrinal purity, then those in pursuit of purity over practical politics will hand the country to Hillary in 2008.
thx again. Good idea.
My bad. My very bad. About a week ago someone posted a link to me where I found what appeared to be a legitimate website of G. Allen's and a statement about firearms that would make Algore proud. If I could find it again I'd like to investigate it. Nothing looked phony about it. Nonetheless, here is his statement about firearms ownership. NRA worthy!
Glad to hear it. There aren't enough good choices out there.
Yeah, the gateway to somewhere else. They're not going there to stay there they're going there to get somewhere else. All the people coming to America are coming here to stay here, not to get to Canada or Mexico.
I seriously doubt you could have anything I would want to take from you.....
