Rove's Indictment? (Or is it really the wacky-left thats going down?)

Posted on 05/15/2006 9:34:31 AM PDT by Pukin Dog

Yeah, I am back with another completely unsubstantiated Washington rumor, just deal with it.

What is NOT rumor, is that Rove's people and others have COMPLETELY DENIED what is proving to be the biggest unreported story in Washington right now, and Chris Matthews is going to be in a really bad mood tonight.

I was just having a conversation with one of my Pentagon buddies about Rove (who is right now LIVE on CSPAN, if you haven’t been watching,) and the subject of all the stories of Rove’s Indictment came up.

My friend laughed and said that there is a lot of talk going on under the scenes about this whole thing being an attempt by the more moderate-left setting this story up to discredit their wacky-left base, as represented by Dummies and others who have one important thing in common; their distrust of Hillary Clinton and the DLC.

After spending most of the weekend, trying to verify all the rumors of the pending indictment and coming up empty, big media are now looking into how this story became the “big secret that everyone knew about” but that no one could prove. They want to know just who told Leopold the rumor that caused the MSM to lose their weekend sleep.

A theory is going around that Leopold and the Wacky-left have been set up. There are those in the Democrat Party who believe that it is the wacky-left that is keeping them from getting ahead, as represented by Howard Dean, John Conyers and others for whom anger is their prime motivation.

A number of wacky-left bloggers have been working very hard to establish positions of power and authority within the Democratic Party, but with mostly disastrous results for the party when their advice has been followed.

One of those pieces of advice was to put Nancy Pelosi on television recently and allowing her to throw meat to the wacky-left base by suggesting that the Democrats would indeed begin investigations of President Bush, should they win in November. Smarter Dems cringed as Pelosi proceed to confirm RNC talking points. Pelosi was later forced to claim that the Democrats “Have no interest in pursuing impeachment proceedings against Bush; sounding about as credible as saying “Pukin Dog has no interest in pursuing large breasted women.”

In repeated surveys and online polling among the left-wing bloggers, Hillary Clinton is consistently losing to “Other” and “None of the above”. Would it not be just beautiful if the Democrats are actively trying to discredit their own wacky-base by discrediting the wackos with the MSM? Is it just too juicy and Machiavellian to contemplate? A leak suggesting Rove’s impending indictment shared with the wacky-left would be harder to avoid then Michael Moore’s body odor. They would have to run with it, no matter who gave it to them.

I watched Rove this morning for signs of nerves, impending doom, anger, or so much as a nervous tick, and all I detected was a sly grin, bordering on him being ready to break into laughter. It has been fun to watch people like John (Fitzmas) Kerry pander to those wack-jobs in an attempt to gain their support for another run (directly into a wall) as he races Al Gore and Prince Wesley for their wheat-grass money. If the wacky-left goes down in flames this week and begin attacking each other for another Fitzmas gone bad, who would be left standing?

Again, its just another Washington rumor, but like Fitzmas itself, just too juicy not to share.

What do YOU think?

By 1 PM today, Rove himself will have been named responsible for the false rumor about Rove. ;-)

BTTT

We know that the best chance for republicans is the crazy people who own the party.

If Hilary could pull of a stunt like this, it would actually make me think more highly of her abilities.

Of course, I realise that if this is what is happening, it's her husband pulling the strings.

I've always thought that it was Bill who took the Rose law firm records, and then put them on the table two years later. It was his way of keeping Hillary in line.

My theory was that someone in the Republican Party "leaked" it just to watch the wacko-frenzy. I like your theory better.

1. Interesting. For some reason, I have no fear of Rove being indicted, because I don't think he's guilty of anything, and also because I don't think he'd ever be FOUND guilty of anything.

2. You need to update your very interesting piece on your profile. We need more ammo against the trolls.

Why is anyone suprised at this? The author of the story is a notorious liar that has been fired from numerous papers and websites, and even had his book canceled when the publisher got wind of his methods. Backing this jackass is william rivers pitt, the drunken stooge who calls Eisenhower "a reformed warmonger".

Truly, we should be thankful for these clowns on the left. They're the gift that keeps on giving.

Hey Pukin, I always thought Pelosi had little crediblility, but I didn't realize she had THAT little.

Thanks for the laugh.

Except for the media and freepers, its never been a secret that the left wing base of the party hates her.

Daily Kos is more anti-hillary then free republic is.

Would they vote for her is she was the nominee?

Yea, but they would also vote for an old shoe or a table if it was the nominee.

I don't think Hillary needs to earn their votes, as she intends to take them by force.

Even if they do 'discredit' the wacky-left, it will have minimal impact. Those folks are too wound-up to be put off, and they still have Soros' money, so the 'rats have to bow and scrape to them, anyway.

Little noticed, or I should say little reported, regarding the Rove appearance at the grand jury recently was Rove's attorney saying he had been assured by Fitzgerald's office that Rove was not a target of the grand jury. I REALLY doubt Rove's attorney would have dared to make such an assertion were it not true. It would have been all but a gauntlet thrown down to the prosecutor had he lied to make such a claim.

Anyway, that's what started all these left wing extremist wacko rumors about an impending indictment and it has no basis other than the wishful thinking of the demented left. It was fairly clear the prosecutor is trying to determine in fact if it was the media, not Scooter Libby, who was the source of the original leak (which wasn't illegal anyway so Fitzy needs to go away and get a real job.)

I think that the political climate in the US is so chaotic and unstable, it is virtually impossible to predict what November will bring. Right now, with all of the rumors, innuendo and actual issues facing the US, I don't believe that ANY poll or pundit can make a prediction about November and have more than a snowball's chance in he . . . . . er, a VERY hot place, of being close.

Seems a little tooooo clever and Machiavellian by a few orders of magnitude for the Dims.

We've seen this past week it's possible to get a GJ indict people when someone else's DNA exonerates them.

Sure, Rove "can" be indicted, since he did in fact incorrectly testify to the GJ about the e-mails that the WH system didn't find. Or he could be indicted for deliberately and with malice of forethought keeping a messy garage in the District of Columbia. (Remember the TV crews last election?) This entire episode is as close to a witch hunt as I've ever seen. If he gets a legal defense fund, my check will be in the mail that day.
