Thank you AB...I have been a conservative, primarily Republican for thirty years. I have seen Nixon, Ford, Reagan, and Bush Sr. go through dark days, even with their "base".
The common denominator for all these men is that they helped turn back the tide of liberalism run amok, in their own way. GWB is no different. Conservative gains under him have been extraordinary.
It is important for the future of the nation for conservatives to pull together and not fall prey to the lies and diversions of the Dems and MSM.
Palast says even Churchill believed in being honest with his people. Tyrell should bring up the bombing of Coventry during WWII. Warning the people there would have meant letting the Nazis know that their code had been broken.
He's in San Francisco for work and won't be on as much as he would like today.
"And why do Democratic ballots spoil so much more readily than Republican ballots? How's it done?"
"One answer could be because conservatives follow directions better than liberals, who do not believe that rules matter."
That's one answer. Another answer is that since some Dims vote at least twice, they have 2x as many chances to have a spoiled ballot.
Good morning too, rodguy911. Are you taking care of the mother of your daughter today?
Newt 'I'll run for President, if you beg me to' Gingrich is on MTP.
The same Talking heads and pseudo Conservative pundits like George Wills did the same thing to Reagan. They squealed during the late 1980s about how he was "Selling out the Conservative base" because he was talking to the Commies, signed 2 tax hikes and a REAL Illegal Alien Amnesty.
No on gets 100% of what they want out of life. Adults realize this. Spoiled Brat Children throw temper tantrums about it. Life, especially in politics, requires compromise. You merely get the most you can and make the best you can with it.
On Taxcuts, Judges, actually waging a war on terror, reduction in Fed regulatory burdens, bringing up the Illegals issue, attempting real Social Security reform, 1st serious Medicare reforms and dozens of other issues, President Bush has done far MORE to advance the Conservative agenda then all the Talking Head hysteric Whiners like Savage, Wills, Hannity etc combined will EVER do.
Life is not perfect children, learn to live with it.
Thanks for the thread and thanks for re-posting last week's winners.
You have got the wrong Cheney Morgan, FNS has Mary.
AND... It's hard to be neat and precise when you're dead!
Morning A.Hun. I agree. Been there too.
The one difference I see now is Republicans control both the presidency and houses of congress. The hatred from Democrats is more blatant and open today because they are out of power, and trying to scare the voters isn't working as well as it did in the past.
Democrats have become SO irrelevant within each branch of govenment that it has driven them over the edge. Which is why their far left special interest groups have seized so much power within their party.
I see Miss Marple has already corrected you - sorry for the double correction.
Talking of Cheney's for any one interested I did a photo thread covering the VP's recent Eastern Europe visit, here is a link to it.

Newt is throwing Timmy a curve ball. Timmy brings up Newt's comment to Colmes that this is defending the indefensible (the NSA program). Newt says it's a question of not getting out in front and explaining it in advance (which is really stupid, since you don't want people to know your sources and methods). Timmy is not getting what he wants on the NSA issue so he moves on. LOL.
Laura says she doesn't believe the polls
Neither do I
Me three.
It is sad that is still the perception of some about today's modern armed services unfortunately you hear the same thing in Britain.
Good post. Best comment I've heard this morning, as you hit the nail on the head.
Nicely put, MNJohnnie add to that President's buitding the republican grassroots & buiding the party from ground up.
KFC tell him you want steak and chips :0)
