An arsenal of exotic weapons - including a sniper rifle, a spear and a set of 8-inch metal claws - were seized from a 23-year-old Jersey City man after his worried father called cops. When South District cops responded to the Greenville home yesterday morning, they found the sniper rifle - with a powerful scope and a laser sight - as well as three Glock handguns and more than 1,200 rounds of ammunition, reports said. Among the bullets were illegal "hollow-point" rounds, police said. In addition to the spear and metal claws, cops found a number of savage-looking knives, including one that had blades coming out of each end of its carved wooden handle. The owner of the weapons lived with his father, his brother and two younger brothers, police said.

Depends on your definition of "all at once". I've shot up that much .22 LR in just 3 or 4 days. Well I had a little help from other family members, but we shot more like 2,000 rounds.
If the caulk gun works :-(
my dads had me tiling the bathroom floor and caulking around the walls sucked big time :-(
For the Urban sniper that is restricted by infirmities,
such as legal blindness...
7.62x51 is also often available pretty cheaply as foreign military surplus, made to NATO spec though. Indian, Venezuelan (or was pre Chavez at least), Portuguese (which is mostly what I've got for my mostly Portuguese G-3) and even Brit (pre War anyway).
Would that then devalue a "stockpile?"

Hollow points are not illegal in NJ. They sell them at the Ray's Sporting Goods on Rt 22.
That said, I was told when I bought them that if I shot someone in my house with them I'd go to jail as they were intended to KILL. I thought to myself, if I am shooting this gun in my house I intend to kill what I'm shooting at.
An M-16/AR-15 fitted out for a MOUT sniper role might. Or as a police sniper rifle. The bad guys have been known to surrender at the sight of the little red dot in the middle of their chest.
Though it's cheap (no that much though) it's verdan (not boxer primed) primed, meaning it's not reloadable, steel casing, and known to be dirty. I've never used it. Been advised against it. BTW, it's made in Russia, if that means anything.
God bless good ole' Hondo, New Mexico.
I go up there with my family every year and you can go to the local store and see people still wearing guns on their hips.
From what I hear its legal to wear them in Hondo at least in the open.
One too many Viagra's can be dangerous!
""You can't own hollowpoints in NJ? I have several handgun mags full of them!""
should of asked him if he owned a fire extinguisher. When he said yes you could ask him...isn't that the job of the fire dept?
I buy it (9mm & .380) by the case of 1,000 rounds when it goes on sale.
I've been poking around looking at 7.62x51 and 8mm. What would you recommend for 7.62x51?
.45 longslide with laser sighting, 12 gauge autoloader, Uzi 9mm, but still looking for a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range..............
I think I went through 250 rounds of mixed .45 ACP and .30 Carbine at the Texas Cowboy Memorial Shoot in Houston last weekend. And I spent more time socializing and watching than shooting, especially after we switched from the pistol range to the rifle range. I was out there about 4.5 hours all told.
Looks like the guy needed to move out get his own place awhile ago. The old man's a clymer.
Your kid's bedroom. Just be careful - I recently read (probably on FR!) about a kid that died when they were tossing a ball around in his room, it hit the wall, knocked a sword off and killed the kid.
So be careful with those bouncing balls!
"should of asked him if he owned a fire extinguisher. When he said yes you could ask him...isn't that the job of the fire dept?"
LOL, I'm gonna steal that line from you.
You can use it but it's not original. I believe I saw it here a while back. I use it whenever some anti gives me the old police protection logic. Police are for investigating and writing up the reports. Rarely do they intercept crime in the process and when they do it's usually one of those "right place, right time" things.
