[history]
An arsenal of exotic weapons - including a sniper rifle, a spear and a set of 8-inch metal claws - were seized from a 23-year-old Jersey City man after his worried father called cops. When South District cops responded to the Greenville home yesterday morning, they found the sniper rifle - with a powerful scope and a laser sight - as well as three Glock handguns and more than 1,200 rounds of ammunition, reports said. Among the bullets were illegal "hollow-point" rounds, police said. In addition to the spear and metal claws, cops found a number of savage-looking knives, including one that had blades coming out of each end of its carved wooden handle. The owner of the weapons lived with his father, his brother and two younger brothers, police said.

I've had good luck with
THESE GUYS. Shipping is remarkably cheap. Don't buy the Wolf ammo, though. IMHO.
To: Billthedrill
See www.ammoman.com also. They are in NJ btw.

Seriously, the guy who wrote this is named MICHAELANGELO. I might take him a little more seriously if he called himself "Mike", but then again...

1200 rounds...is that all...I've got just over 12,000 rounds in my garage. I'm not even sure how much I have stashed in the closets of my house and in my gun cabinets. LOL.

Who are those guys on obscure TV channels selling all sorts of surplus knives at ridiculous prices?

Ted Kennedy is calling for restrictions on the sale of all of those items as we speak. And yet, Jersey continues to go solidly Democrat. My wife is from Jersey; her uncle (a union member) who still lives in Jersey and owns firearms literally asked me "What do you need a gun for, you've got the police don't you?" And then I said "ow, my brain hurts because I can not literally dumb myself down to the level needed to provide a response to that question." But its this mindset that is eventually going to turn NJ into a haven for criminals (some parts already are).

5 handguns, 5 rifles, 2 shotguns, 700 rounds for my SKS: I'm a minimalist.

"I've often wondered how one man can shoot 1200 rounds all at once. I'll lurk this thread so maybe someone can brainwash me."
It's the whole principle of stocking up a lot of ammo so that if you're in a situation where you'll really need it, you'll have plenty to go around. I let my stock of ammo get way too low a few months ago, but even though I'm really tight on money I buy a couple of boxes here and there when I get spare change and slowly build up my supplies.
To: Arthalion
Seriously? I don't think I've ever had more than 500 rounds in the safe, and I probably only have about 150 right now. What the heck do you shoot that burns so much ammo? Lando and his sons would be in a serious panic if we had "only" 500 rounds. On a fresh Saturday morning in the north woods, my boys will burn up a few hundred rounds before breakfast.

"Q: What does one call two guns laying side-by-side inside a gunvault in NJ?"
A: An arsenal"
LOL...Oh...guns...not "gays"...everytime I hear any story about NJ...I think that it concerns McGreevey. Yep, libs like him too busy trying to hook-up with their homeland security appointment, to pay attention to keeping the NJ citizens safe.

Hi all4one- That sociopath Governor Jim McGreevey endangered the lives of 8,600,000 innocent people so he could score a job for his boyfriend. Now they're worried about a few handguns and knives being the end of the world? Holy cow!

I almost bought one a few weeks ago. Still might. Either that
or this one Price isn't too bad and it's novel enough for me.
Kel-Tecs, from what I hear, either work right off the bat, or after a single trip back to the factory. :-)
These are probably illegal in NJ too.

thanks for a decent dialog and the info.
The article still reads too generic and still no logic
The man's father found the weapons and, worried about the safety of his younger sons, filed a restraining order Friday against the 23-year-old, reports said.
Big hole, here.
I read this that the son wasn't threatening anybody.( appears nobody knew about the weapons until father found them)
Father doesn't talk with his son ?
Just gets a restraining order ? Restraining order for what ? from what ?
Still has to be more to this story.
