I can see that things haven't changed. There were orders to everyone on every holiday to send cards, etc but they really put the pressure on for Mom's day.

Heaven forbid if Mom would contact the chaplain to ask about your health. You'd surely be called on the carpet for that. If you were feeling good but just didn't contact Mom they made sure you didn't feel so good after standing on the carpet for awhile. :-)
