Current poll:
"A time for choosing: It appears that a significant number of our members are so disgusted with the GOP's failure to secure our borders against illegal aliens that they are willing to risk all by voting them out of office, even if it means Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et al, are allowed to take charge. Is this the best course of action or should we be working harder than ever to hold the line and actually try to make a difference by getting more constitutionally-minded conservatives elected? Are you willing to give it all up or are you more determined than ever to keep the Marxists out of power?" _____
So far, 13% of members and 18%+ of participants in this poll say - turn it over to the rats. What's with that? I cannot believe that 13% of those posting here are so stupid or angry with what is happening that they would turn to the rats for the way back to perfect. Now, 13% will result in a winning vote, in a lot of cases.
Anyway, I guess that there is no compromising for some people - just dig a hole and live there while the rats are in charge. I'm so disappointed.
I've asked myself many times the 'what if' question. How different our world of today would be if Clintoon had treated them as terrorist and not a police matter.
Tancredo would get mine but the RNC will see to it he never gets the chance. Look for an anointed to be pushed pretty soon as {the most electable one} the term some are so fond of. I've seen way too much manipulation going on to think the Rockies are gonna allow anything but their pick to get serious consideration. Choices given are likely Allen, McCain, or possibly Rudi to choose from.
I think you need to reread your history
I was directly accused of being one awhile ago, now we're just lumped in with "those border crazies" who follow Buchanan. If that makes them feel better about wanting the border open, I can't help that. : )
The "WHAT IFS" are what REALLY hurt! And imagining what WOULD have happened ( Clinton WOULD have lost !), if only enough people hadn't be stupid enough to vote for Perot or stayed home, in '93, will just make you sick. It's best not to dwell on that and just try to make sure that the damned Dems don't EVER, in our lifetime, get back into power.
Fine, don't. But don't close your mind to the easy way of 'us vs. them' either. Write in a name if there's not another candidate or if the candidates on the ballot don't agree with your views. To do otherwise, voting the R so the D doesn't win, is voting against a party. And that is something no one can claim the Framers had in mind when giving us the privilege to vote.
Standing. Applauding.
Presidential candidates have ALWAYS been "anointed"! What on earth do you imagine that the term "SMOKE FILLED ROOM" refers to?
And going back to Teddy Roosevelt, he was "anointed", by the N.Y.state GOP, to be McKinley's VEEP, even BEFORE the GOP Convention, in order to get him out of Albany, where he was wrecking havoc with the status quo and keep him quite.
Factual history is your friend...learn some!
Too damn funny.
Ronald Magnus Reagan: "I did not leave the Democrat Party - the Democrat Party left me."
The Democrat party left Reagan just as the Republican Party has left us. Great example - thank you!
That's ok, if it's just a warning shot. However , too many want to shoot out the bottom of the ship and watch it sink, just to prove a point. Trouble is, once it's sunk, it's sunk.
This is no surprise to those who have been fighting the Madness for several years now. No perspective and no understanding of political realities does not lead to good decisions.
Many of the "disgruntled" are part of the Perpetually Pissed Off which never supported Bush or the GOP in the first place and have never agreed with anything he has done.
That said, I have never voted straight ticket although any support of the dim party is support of the whole. Until the libertarians get off their "legalize drugs" trip, I cannot support them either. My Rep used to be Ron Paul before we got disinfrenchfried by the gerrymandering. I really miss him, but I'm not in his district anymore.
LMAO - The SC never prevented Bush from overturning previous EO's. It is certainly within his purview to do so - not even the SC could prevent this.
Exactly so!
By supporting conservatives, FR is going to leave a lot of republicans (rinos) behind, as it should be. This will likely contribute to "handing it over to the rats."
The republicans did it to themselves.
I loathe that creature. It's a sad day when someone is accused of being associated with Buchanan because we have issues with an open border. Dang.
Or crying!
