Current Poll - 13% of members will turn it over to the rats????
Posted on 05/06/2006 9:51:50 AM PDT by Sonora
Current poll:
"A time for choosing: It appears that a significant number of our members are so disgusted with the GOP's failure to secure our borders against illegal aliens that they are willing to risk all by voting them out of office, even if it means Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et al, are allowed to take charge. Is this the best course of action or should we be working harder than ever to hold the line and actually try to make a difference by getting more constitutionally-minded conservatives elected? Are you willing to give it all up or are you more determined than ever to keep the Marxists out of power?" _____
So far, 13% of members and 18%+ of participants in this poll say - turn it over to the rats. What's with that? I cannot believe that 13% of those posting here are so stupid or angry with what is happening that they would turn to the rats for the way back to perfect. Now, 13% will result in a winning vote, in a lot of cases.
Anyway, I guess that there is no compromising for some people - just dig a hole and live there while the rats are in charge. I'm so disappointed.

They're just beyond disgusted at the spiness and gutless pandering to globalization and the destruction of sovereigty displayed by the suits in DC. Bump!

You are explaining the Republicans well. Most of these on FR don't have a clue as to what a Rockefeller Republican is all about. They think a Rockefeller Republican is a RINO which is totally wrong. I also remember when Reagan pulled the conservative democrats in to the Republican party. The contract with America was also conservative. I also remember how Rush Limbaugh toted Bob Dole's water. It was pathetic. Dole is a Rockefeller Republican as is/was Ford. They are pro-social program expansionist, moderate to liberal on most social issues, and in general expand government agencies well beyond the need. Snowe, Chaffe, Jefford was, Frist, Lott, McCain and quite a few others are Rockefeller Republicans.
I did some look ups and Grand Pappy Senator Prescott Bush was also a Rockefeller Republican supporter as well :>} I found a good definition of it here http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nationworld/chi-0408310265aug31,0,6425892.story for anybody that wants to go there.
If a person can understand that a minority within the GOP is taking down the majority with it then things might change. These two factions are two as different as night and day. Most of the GOP the Conservative and the Rockefeller Republicans the minority but seem to have the Lobby Money.

The RINO Gerald Ford lost to none other than Jimmy Carter.

The Grand Old Party is also referred to as "country club republicans". The minority, Rockefeller Republicans, control the money of the GOP. Many are wealthy, not just rich, but wealthy. I shutter to think who the GOP presidential nominee will be.

Nope, President Bush DID try to undo almost all of Clinton's EOs and was told that there were many that he was NOT allowed to...and this by the SCOTUS; IIRC. This was back in '01, prior to 9/11 and was all over FR. If you need to check on me, do, by all means; just go into FR's archives.
And as to the Congressional elections, this year, I am quite cognizant of the fact that this is not a presidential election year; unlike the UNAPPEAEABLES here. I also mentioned, in my list of refutations, things which the GOPers in both Houses folded on. OTOH, I failed to mention how much Newtie caved to Clinton...thusly blowing your post to smithereens! ;^)

In fact. Bush rescinded EVERY Clinton EO. The only things he could not rescind were the land grabs that Clinton perpetrated under the Antiquities Act. He did not have the power to overturn another President's proclamations, only Congress has that power.

Maybe a theologian wouldn't but I think there is and I really would love to view it your way, but I cannot.
I will continue to work to change the opinions of those I put in office, but I will NOT vote for a liberal.

Yes, it IS Clinton's and his horde's fault, that 9/11 happened. He had eight years to do something to prevent it and yet, NOTHING at all was done; not by him, not by the CIA, not by the FBI, not by anyone at all, to connect the dots that would have forestalled not only 9/11, but so many other terrorist hits, from the Sudan to the USS COLE attack, to all the rest of it.

No, I didn't forget anything. Gerald Ford was president for approximately 2years after Nixon resigned. Ford maintained that he would not run for president. He lied but won the nomination over a conservative therefore giving us one of the worst Democrat presidents ever.

Facts matter and sometimes they really DO need to be repeated and repeated, for those with terrible memories. hehehehehe
