Current poll:
"A time for choosing: It appears that a significant number of our members are so disgusted with the GOP's failure to secure our borders against illegal aliens that they are willing to risk all by voting them out of office, even if it means Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et al, are allowed to take charge. Is this the best course of action or should we be working harder than ever to hold the line and actually try to make a difference by getting more constitutionally-minded conservatives elected? Are you willing to give it all up or are you more determined than ever to keep the Marxists out of power?" _____
So far, 13% of members and 18%+ of participants in this poll say - turn it over to the rats. What's with that? I cannot believe that 13% of those posting here are so stupid or angry with what is happening that they would turn to the rats for the way back to perfect. Now, 13% will result in a winning vote, in a lot of cases.
Anyway, I guess that there is no compromising for some people - just dig a hole and live there while the rats are in charge. I'm so disappointed.
It's too earlier for all the candidates to be known for the 2008 election
We need to get past the 2006 elections first
"" The liberal agenda has been advanced more in the last 6 years than in the previous 30.""
What exactly has advanced in the past 6 yearrs that wasnt advancing in the previous 30...and dont say medicare drugs..Bush ran on that in 2000, if you chosee to ignore him, its your own fault.
I said, "by contrast, the border simply is not [taken seriously]" if you compare it to action taken at the airports. When someone says "this is serious" and follows it up with actions, I believe them. If it is followed up with window-dressing, I don't. I don't lay all the blame on Bush, the majority we supposedly have in the Senate shares it. But they also don't publicly state what the "agenda" is for the nation. BTW, this poll is about electing congress/senate, not about a presidential election.
It would be understandable if Pelosi lead as she woul lead. A republican McCain or Gullianni would set a new setting a new standard within the GOP and after 2 terms of a McCain or Gullianni a Bush administration would be seen as conservative as a Barry Goldwater. In other words, oit would move the party to the left. That hurts America and the GOP.
Okay, you're free to believe whatever you want.
morooooon
My point would be that slamming Bush and the party won't help a whole lot. There are a lot of good people in the party, people that you support, and as important as pushing against the open border lobby is, it is not the only issue in play, nor in my opinion is it as important as the WOT.
By pushing wacko third party you usher in a nightmare. Perot did it once.........it will happen again, except with worse consequences.
I'm not sure if I would mind a Democratic Congress with Bush in office.
Oh wait, that would mean Bush would have to look for that veto pen he lost so long ago.
""Imagine this country if managed like San Francisco or Berkeley...That's enough to keep me keeping on..."
Uh, you left out Washington DC with the pubbies in power.""
This is just the type of stupidty you get from conservative "dead enders" you actually think that the GOP is as bad as berkely or san francisco city govt would be running the country...please do everyone a favor and STAY HOME on election day...your too stupid to be allowed to vote.
Hmmmmmmmmmm...I don't think your response fits the post of mine that you responded to...
Maybe you got the wrong post??
1st ... You are a fool to want Pelosi in charge
2nd .. McCain and Gullianni will not make it out of the primaries .. they are both too liberal on domestic issues .. and McCain is too liberal on the WOT issue
I saw a poll from Mexico recently which showed that over half of their remaining population still has a high level of interest in heading north.
No, what they did was vote for Perot.
There is no such thing as a wasted vote.
Absolutely agreed. You have a great slate to defend in Pa. We have a good chance to get rid of a moron Governor and Senator here in Michigan.
Excelsior! Whatever that means.......
Sadly, I think a lot of us have...and I miss the fun and knowledge we used to be able to exchange...
youre exactly right.
Chaffee is 20 points ahead of his democratic challenger. Olympia Snowe has a 70% approval rating.
It is Santorum and Talent who are losing.
If the "dead enders" get their way, the message the GOP will learn will be to move to the center, not the right. Afterall Santorum will have lost and Chaffee will have won a 20 point victory. What else could be more clear?
LOL
It would also mean that there would be a lot of legislation you don't like piggy-backing on major bills that Bush cannot veto. You can also kiss those half-loaves of conservayive legisltive that is making its way through. As for the conservatives judges, weel they will be waiting for January 2009 to act on filling those slots--with their guys.
