Current poll:
"A time for choosing: It appears that a significant number of our members are so disgusted with the GOP's failure to secure our borders against illegal aliens that they are willing to risk all by voting them out of office, even if it means Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et al, are allowed to take charge. Is this the best course of action or should we be working harder than ever to hold the line and actually try to make a difference by getting more constitutionally-minded conservatives elected? Are you willing to give it all up or are you more determined than ever to keep the Marxists out of power?" _____
So far, 13% of members and 18%+ of participants in this poll say - turn it over to the rats. What's with that? I cannot believe that 13% of those posting here are so stupid or angry with what is happening that they would turn to the rats for the way back to perfect. Now, 13% will result in a winning vote, in a lot of cases.
Anyway, I guess that there is no compromising for some people - just dig a hole and live there while the rats are in charge. I'm so disappointed.
Nope .. you're a crackpot
Spector has done more for the Impeachment of President Bush than any democrat I have seen so far. So, what's this "vote republican to save Bush?"
Actually, it's more like 50+; but then, facts really aren't all that important to some posters here.
Bless your heart!!!
This list should be the backdrop in every Republican ad.
Try again
look .. I'm not saying we don't need to clean up the republican party some .. but handing control over to the liberals is a suicide act
Bless my hearrt is right; I had to lay down for a few minutes after I compiled it. It's more than a person should have to contemplate.
Not following you. Are you saying the polls today are more all inclusive and more accurately reflect the populations attitude?
No, they can't, even though they are suppose to stay ON TOPIC.
With respect to that, I believe it was far from an emotional fit. Sometimes much can be said with few words.
Rest assured, I'm going to use that list every chance I get. You done good!
That is the main reason why many folks , like myself, have cut their "FReeping" time dramatically.
He could have just swept them under the rug. These issues are complex and there are many sides to each of them. As well as costs.
Those who expect Instant Gratification get nothing.
Not exactly nothing, they do get a fundraising letter from the tancredo/bay buchanan PAC.
We must understand that the left has changed the culture through incremental changes. They have shown us how for 30 years the culture has been nudged from Beaver Cleaver conservatism to Queer Eye for The Straight Guy socialism. We have been like frogs in a pan of slowly heating water. Many of us were not even aware that it was happening. This stealth methodology is so below the counter that we do not know it is being used.
Obviously, the Republican Party is playing a similar stealth game to swing the culture to the right. Because it is happening so subtily, we think they are doing nothing. Some are asking, "Where's the beef?" The trouble is that in order to engage in a stealth operation, you cannot let your enemy in on the strategy. You cannot tell anyone that the beef is under the counter in a brown paper wrapper.
The polls of prior to the 2002 and 2004 elections always showed the democrats ahead and the republicans losing. But, if you were to talk to the man on the street... your co-workers... people in daily life... you noticed that what the people said did not reflect what the polls were saying. The people supported the war but the polls showed the opposite. The people trusted the GOP for national security, the polls reflected something different. The polls did not correspond to reality in our daily lives.
This time it's different - atleast from my experience. On the steets Im seeing hard-core republicans who are very angry at the GOP and they are vowing not to vote.
I never saw the man on the street reflect the pre-election polls like they are this year.
I think Zell is almost 80...I may be wrong...but, there are a lot of people that think that McCain will be too old in 2008...and I am pretty sure that Miller is older than McCain.
Don't get me wrong, I love Zell...but, I just don't think he is a dem for you to hang your hat on.
Just reading your list made me queasy and I expect to throw up soon.
Well, whatever you do, don't take Phenegran; it makes you drive through the streets and hit security barriers. :-)
