He would lie to get sympathy. If you haven't noticed, its almost a fad now with the famous to claim bipolar.

That's the problem with lying... it's so difficult to keep the lies straight.

Particularly when you're half-stoned on liquor and pills.

Of course, the crowning piece of stage craft would be the sound of a new generation of Kennedys romping through a game of touch football.

Barf-a-rama.

Good direction on your part, tho. Have you thought of a career in hollywood? : )

Phenergan is not an antihistimine.

From Wikipedia:

Promethazine (sold as Phenergan and Promethegan) is a first-generation H1 receptor antagonist antihistamine and anti-emetic/anti-nausea medication available. It can be ordered as a prescription drug in the United States, but it is over-the-counter in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and many other countries.

Promethazine has strong anti-cholinergic and sedative as well as strong anti-allergic and anti-emetic effects. Previously in its history, promethazine has also been used as an antipsychotic, although it is generally not administered for this purpose; promethazine has only approximately 1/10 of the antipsychotic strength of chlorpromazine.

Cynthia McKinney should be screaming RACISM...
She should be drawing a parallel between the way the Capital Police treated her versus the way they treated Kennedy...

I can hear her now:

"Those white cracker cops manhandled and pushed me around, and pretended they didn't recognize me -- but when a drunken white boy shows up and nearly kills them with his car -- they cover his lilly white ass with love and drive his lilly white drunk ass home....

What is promethazine?

Promethazine is an antihistamine. It blocks the effects of the naturally occurring chemical histamine in your body.

Promethazine is used to treat allergic symptoms and reactions such as itching, runny nose; sneezing; itchy, watery eyes; hives; and itchy skin rashes.

Promethazine is also used to cause sedation (sleep), to assist in controlling postoperative pain, to control nausea and vomiting (especially after surgery), and to prevent motion sickness.

Promethazine may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

Yahoo news is reporting he's gonna go to a drug rehab joint--

WASHINGTON - Rep. Patrick Kennedy (news, bio, voting record) said Friday he was entering treatment for addiction to prescription pain medication, a decision made after a highly publicized car crash near the Capitol that the congressman said he cannot recall.

Kennedy, D-R.I., said he would seek immediate treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

Hi All-

I'm still trying to determine the significance of having a press conference at 4:20 p.m. rather than 3:00 p.m. to discuss a congressman who is a bipolar, alcoholic, and drug-addicted.

Why is this man (with all his demons) in a position where his decisions influence millions of people, anyway?

" ---Patrick "out in the heartland" than there was for Rush"

Well, they got that right!! But for the wrong reasons.

Rush took responsibility for his actions.

I'm not trying to come off as defending this guy or his family. I can't stand the Kennedy's. I'm just a wit bit sensitive to these issues due to my own experience with my daughter. It is hell and for the family. One reason why I would believe he is bi-polar because of his family histroy and it would explain why his family are all narcissistics.
