Personally, I am glad. He wants to die to become a martyr. He won't get his wish this way. I agree. Spending a long time in prison is worse (IMHO) than a quick death. Plus, this way there's no automatic retrial.

No one it seems remembers the beheadings his cohorts have committed (such as Daniel Pearl) or the 3,000 or so who perished on 9/11/01. I guess those are ok. They BLAME IT ON HIS CHILDHOOD!!!!! Murder is okay if you had a BAD childhood!!!!

Well he can rot for about 12-15 years and then die. That's no fun! Death row inmates are well protected from the rest of the population.
He could sit and read his Quran all day on death row, but it'll be kind of hard to do in the general population while Bubba's giving him some lovin'.
