I've never posted a new thread before and was going to put this with Santa Ana but now there are details so I think it needs it's own thread.

Reports for help from all police to respond to Vista, California for unrest related to the immigration protests.

I'd been hearing sirens racing north on 15 for over the last 50 minutes and was trying to find out what was going on, as after hearing and seeing groups of 2-6 patrol cars racing up the freeway sirens wailing every 4-8 minutes made it apparent something was going on.

This is a day late in this thread, though I was on the live thread yesterday and this one wasn't up yet...but, despite the best efforts of those who think harming the national integrity and thus harming the national security of this country just to make their Kerry voter points failed rather miserably. On top of that, all over the West Coast there were reports of terroristic threats to American Hispanic business owners families, lives and businesses if they opened yesterday.

Bottom line from CNN All Day Coverage: no economic impact. Stocks slightly lower, mostly due to profit taking after the record high business week.

I suppose none of the paranoids who think we can Seal-a-Meal this country off from any more foreign devils care to listen to the fact that our best hope for REAL, PRODUCTIVE immigration reform is to ADVERTIZE YESTERDAY'S FAILURE in BIG, BOLD LETTERS AND LOUD, IMPOSSIBLE TO IGNORE VOICES will bother to pay attention to this post. Hopefully, a few others of us (who have big mouths and b*tchy natures) will...and act.

I was watching a newscast and noticed a young man giving a sign to a marcher and collecting money for it. Do the sell the protest signs? If so, do they pay taxes on the proceeds or are they exempt?
Just seems odd to buy a sign for a protest, if you feel passionate enough about something to protest wouldn't you make your own sign?
