Life long republican - Drive by troll

All my life, I believed in Republican values -- individual responsibility and limited government. Then it happened; I found myself with a small child, unemployed and disabled. I turned to my church, and after years of regular tithes, suddenly I just wasn't their problem. My Republican friends? I was now a pariah to them.
My only relief was to turn to government assistance for housing, food, and other needs and I was able to survive with dignity.
So chalk me up as one who no longer drinks the GOP koolaid.

Sorry to hear about your circumstances, but exactly how did you "find yourself" with a small child, unemployed and disabled? Did the Republicans and the church do that to you? Don't get me wrong, sometimes bad things happen to good people, but you sound a bit bitter. You might have elaborated on your story a bit more.

Sorry to hear of your having such troubles...
Though you may have decided to leave the Republican's Party
because it isn't what you thought it was or should be....
Hopefully you will not turn away from God (for too long) now that you've found that falable people are not what they should be and the institutions they create are also not what they should be...
God bless you and watch over you and your child...may he have mercy on you and make his blessings known to you as you go through difficult trials...

Making good decisions in life are very helpful in meeting career objectives.
They do make birth control products if one cannot abstain from having sex.
Looking for help from others is not the place to start. You have to be able to help yourself first.
