I've read Paul Williams' books and I think he's got too much time on his hands. If any of this information he's revealing is true, he's be in a dark dungeon somewhere, courtesy of Langley.

Al Qaeda's Suitcase Nukes: A Monumental Debate at the National Press Club, Sponsored by America's Truth Forum
A debate between Richard Miniter, Fox News commentator and author of "Disinformation: 22 Media Myths That Undermine the War on Terror, and Paul L. Williams, Ph.D., award-winning journalist and author of "The Al Qaeda Connection," and "The Dunces of Doomsday," on the subject of al Qaeda's possession of suitcase nuclear weapons will take place on Friday, April 28, at 10 a.m. in the Murrow Room of the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
The debate will be monitored by Fred Barnes, executive editor of The Weekly Standard and co-host of "The Beltway Boys."
The importance of the debate has been heightened by Khalid Sheikh Mohammad and other al Qaeda operatives in custody who testify to Osama bin Laden's plan for an American Hiroshima, an event that calls for the detonation of seven tactical nuclear weapons in seven major American cities in the near future. These plans have resulted in bin Laden's acquisition of a fatwa from Saudi clerics that permit the terrorist group to kill ten million American civilians.
The clash between these two leading counter-terrorism experts is sponsored by Dr. Hugh Cort, a physician and prominent political activist, and Jeffrey Epstein, president of America's Truth Forum.
Following the debate, there will be a brief press conference in which Dr. Paul Williams will release startling, newly discovered information concerning al Qaeda's nuclear arsenal.
The debate will be held in conjunction with the Truth Forum's Symposium on the Roots of Terrorism at the Doubletree Hotel in Arlington, Va. The two-day event also includes a Friday night VIP reception with former CIA chief James Woolsey at 7 p.m., and a line-up on Saturday of such noted speakers, authors, and terrorism experts as Dr. Harvey Kushner, Robert Spencer, Ken Timmerman, David Horowitz, and many others.
Why following the debate?
If Bin Laden pulled off something like multiple nuclear bombs going off it would be the end of the USA as we know it. In that case I would hope that enough of the country remains intact long enough to completely and totally eradicate our enemies off the face of the earth.
This is the same BS that got our CIA believing Saddam was loaded with WMD. Even his commanders thought they were sitting on a load of it, yet other than a few old style weapons, we have found very little.
AQ operates in the same mode. They bullcrap everyone, including their own people. While there is no doubt they have tried to obtain it and still are, the likelihood that they have it has not increased according to all recent Intel that has made it to the public.
Having said that, it could happen, but I've never seen anything believable and WND constantly puts this stuff out as fact when it is nothing but conspiracy theory....(which is why I removed their bumper sticker from my truck)
"Tangible proof" would be one of the weapons themselves.
We have a freeper speaking at the event too. Laura Mansfield is freeper StillProud2befree
The event offers the following speakers:
* James Woolsey, who previously held presidential appointments in two Democratic and two Republican administrations, served as the director of the Central Intelligence Agency from 1993 to 1995.
* Kenneth Timmerman, author of "Countdown to Crisis: the Coming Nuclear Showdown with Iran," has been nominated for the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize.
* Daniel Pipes, director of the Middle East Forum and a prize-winning columnist for the New York Sun and The Jerusalem Post. Pipes was one of the few analysts who warned of the threat of radical Islam to the U.S. before 9-11, writing in 1995, "war has been unilaterally declared on Europe and the United States." The Boston Globe stated, "If Pipes's admonitions had been heeded, there might never have been a 9-11."
* Robert Spencer, director of the weblog Jihad Watch, is an author and researcher who has studied Islam for more than 20 years. His book "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (And The Crusades)" spent four months on the New York Times best-seller list. He has appeared on CNN and Fox News and has been heard on Vatican Radio.

Phares' research and analysis of the Jihadi ideology, strategies and movements goes back to the early 1980s. He conducts briefings to governments, international organizations and appears frequently in the media. Phares is called by many as "the one expert who understands the minds of Jihadists best."
* Walid Shoebat, a former Palestinian Liberation Organization terrorist, converted to Christianity and now warns of the imminent threat of radical Islam to Western civilization.
* Harvey Kushner, noted author, lecturer, professor and internationally recognized authority on terrorism. The 3rd Reich with NUKES would have been a nightmare, but I agree these DEATH LOVING crazies are one giant step worse, they LOATHE all living beings that aren't Islamonutjobs!!
Tangible proof being tauted by WorldNUTDaily?
I think I'll stay away from it LOL
Yup. I have no plans to go anywhere near DC for the rest of my life. That also includes, New York, Chicago, LA...
"...favoring instead a "firm and decisive military action with no apologies to Russia, China, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia or the United Nations."
What I've believed necessary all along. Military thinkers as Sun-Tzu, Machiavelli, and Clauswitz would be laughing their a$$es off at our contemporary views of warfare. Our politicos have their collective heads so far up their arses, I'd be surprised if they'll even hear the suitcase nukes go off!
You said -- "I would love to go to this. Hopefully some of our DC FReepers will attend and give us a report."
They will have the sessions recorded. I wrote to them and asked if they would. I was asking for CDs of the sessions. They indicated that they would be available. That might be your answer.

Here's a partial quote from WND's G2 Bulletin....
Sounds like a barrel of laughs. My possession of a vast fortune could be the topic of an equally relevant debate.
Bump for later reading.
